calum reluctantly agreed to go over ashton's and he is stepping through the doorway when he hears sobbing and shuffling and loud curses from luke and michael and he furrows his eyebrows and walks up to the bedroom and listens to the younger boys 'michael we have to call an ambulance!' 'fuck, holy fuck where is my phone?' and calum's eyes widen on the word ambulance and he barges in the room, seeing ashton sobbing in the corner covered in blood from cuts everywhere and luke and michael scrambling for towels 'ashton oh my god.' calum cried and got in front of him, forcing his head up so his eyes met his and ashton sobs even more 'why're you here?' he asked with a cracked voice and calum starts to cry himself when he sees him clutching calum's engagement ring.

so they made it to the hospital and ashton wasn't speaking to anyone, let alone calum but calum walks in his room anyway, seeing that ashton is doing nothing but staring at the band in his fingers with sunken eyes and doesn't even notice calum until he takes the ring out of his hands 'no—' but he meets calum's eyes and sinks back and calum sighs, slipping it back on his finger and ashton looks at him with wide eyes and he smiles, calum smiling and sitting and pulling him in his arms when he lets out a few happy tears 'i've missed you..' calum whispered and ashton fisted his shirt and nodded 'me too.'
