ashton looks at luke from the driver's spot and how the boy is huffing angrily yet crying while gazing out the window because he just lost his championship hockey game and he thought it was his own fault 'lu, you did awesome—' 'ashton you realize that two unis lost their interest in me, right?' and ashton furrows his eyebrows 'they told me..came up to me right after and told me they weren't interested.' he said quietly and watched his tears fall onto his fingers 'luke you still have two other schools.' and luke sighed, shaking his head and hopping out of the car when he gets to their flat, ashton walking in a moment later to hear the shower running and he sighs, walking in the bathroom and stripping his way into the shower, with luke, whose shoulders are shaking and sobs are escaping his lips and ashton wraps his arms around his shorter boyfriend 'baby..shhh..it'll be okay..' and he hushes him throughout the night because he's just devastated until luke gets a call and ashton watches his eyes widen as he scrambles out answers and when he hangs up the phone he tells ashton with wide wet eyes 'i got a full scholarship to boston college' (they have really good hockey btw.)
