Chapter 16: Morning Stress

-October 31st-
~Bloom~
Dear diary, today is going to be the first day of my life. No one else knows this except for Whitney, my best friend. I really want to ask Kai but I'm afraid that it will be to sudden. I got to admit, the boy makes me heart struck. Anyways since it's Halloween I'm going to wear a tattered but beautiful dress, Whitney is good at sewing and in good at ripping stuff up. Today will me fun, will write again soon. ~Bloom Darling.
"Someone's got a crush on Code red." Whitney said. Code red was my nickname for Kai as an inside joke between me and Whitney. "Oh hush now Casper." I said. "Okay, but I'm just saying you have an open chance right now to ask him to the dance tonight. If you don't there might not be another chance." Whitney said. "Fine but you have to help me put lights in the ball room." I said. "Fine, now let's go work on the dresses." Whitney said.

~Kai~
My alarm went off, 6:00, I got up and stretched my arms. I went and took a nice warm shower and got dressed. Jackson was up and ready when I walked out of the bathroom. "Good morning." I said. "Good Morning." Jackson answered as he tried to hide something behind his back. "What are you trying to hide?" I said. He gave up instantly. "It's a bouquet of fire sonics, they are for Alexis." Jackson said. "I knew you had a crush on her!" I yelled. "Is it that obvious!?!?" He yelled. "Well I can tell by the way you look at her when she smiles, the fact that you play the piano and write songs for her, and that you always blush when she is near you." I said. "I guess, I do that a lot then." Jack said. "Yes you do." I said as I chuckled. "At least you have the guts to ask someone to the dance." I said. "I knew you have a thing for Bloom." Jackson said. "So are you gonna ask her." He added. "Yeah but, I'm a little shy." I said. "Shy. All I have seen is pure confidence from you." Jack said. "Yeah, but on the inside I'm insecure. Especially about the whole 'hero' thing." I said. "It doesn't hurt to at least ask." He said. "Fine, but you have to help me find a tux or at least a formal costume to wear." I said. "Deal." He answered. We got out of our dorm, Whitney was floating through the trees while Bloom was holding the box. The blue flower was in her hair, like the worlds most precious gem stone she stood there. "Good morning!" I yelled to Bloom. "Good morning, are you excited for the dance tonight!" Bloom yelled. "Heck yeah, it's Halloween, only the best day ever!" I yelled. "I'll wish us some suits, you go ask her out." Jack Whispered. I took me a second to realize what he had said. He entered the garden before I had the chance to argue. I walked over to Bloom, the trees were Oak covered with red, brown, yellow leaves. "Hey um.... Bloom, I have a question to ask you." I said. Whitney winked at me, she has already know what I wanted to ask. "Yes Kai." Bloom responded. "Well, I know this is really, REALLY, last minute but.." She interrupted me. "Yes, I will go to the dance with you." She responded. "Meet me out here at 8:00." She said. "I guess I'll see you at eight." I said. "I got the suits Kai, I want you to see them!" Jackson yelled. "See you later." I said to Bloom. She waved goodbye as I walked back into my dorm. "That was easier than expected." I heard Whitney say before I shut the door. "Suits, check. The most wonderful date, check. Now all we need to do is get you to ask Alexis." I said. "Later, I want to surprise her." Jack said. He laid the suits in his bed. "The one on the left is mine, the one in the right is yours." He said. Jack's suit was all white covered in pale blue snow flakes with a real snow flake print on the best and his pants. My suit was a polar opposite, my suit was all black with red paint splatters and a white rose covered with the same red splatters in the front pocket. "These are amazing!" I yelled. "There's more, since Alexis said she was sad that she hid no idea how to obtain a dress, I wished one up for her. "Can I see?" I asked. "No, it's a surprise, remember." Jack said. "Oh right." I answers

~Alexis~
My alarm went off, the first thing on my mind was the dance. I have never been so nervous. The only style of dance I knew was ballet, I didn't want to make a fool of myself. And plus I don't even have a dress or a date. I wish I could ask Jack but I'm afraid we're too different. "Good morning!" Lily yelled in her loudest voice. "Good morning." I said. "Is something on your mind, you look worried." She said. "Yeah, it's the dance. I want to ask Jack but..." I was interrupted. "Your afraid of burning him. I totally get it, you two may be opposites but opposites attract." She said. "I don't know, I just need some time to think." I said. I grabbed my violin and walked out into the hall of trees. Today it was Oak trees with fall leaves covering the floor. I sat on a pile of leaves and began to play. My music is what usually set me free, but today I just couldn't stop thinking about the dance. "Are you okay?" A voice said. I looked up, it was Jackson. "No, I'm not." I said. He sat down beside me. "Can you tell me what's got you so worked up?" He asked. "It's the dance, I'm afraid of making a fool of myself I can't dance anything other than ballet." I said. I didn't want to say anything more. I felt my fire starting to burn. "I probably shouldn't go, I don't even have a dress or a date." I said. I turned to Jack, he tried to hug me but I was scared of hurting him. "I'm sorry, I need to think on my own." I said as I ran to my room. Why was this messing with my head so much. Just relax, your safe here, you won't hurt anyone. I took a deep breath and laid down on my bed. I plugged in my head phones and played the song "Beyond the Veil" by Lindsey Stirling. Slowly I felt my self calm down.

~Richard~
My alarm went off. I woke up see Zach come out of the bathroom. Wet matted hair, towel only. His freak mark was over his heart, in the shape of a star. "Mornin' mate." He said. He grabbed some clothes and walked back into the bathroom. Was I dreaming, I felt myself blush. I got up and got out some clothes. When I was putting my shirt on, I felt a pair of hands cover my eyes. "Really Zach!" I said. "Yes really!" He yelled back. I couldn't help but smile. I took his glasses and ran out the door. "Come back here!" Zach said with a small giggle. Life just felt better when things like this happened. The little things, the things people overlook, I cherished this moment. I ran into the garden room, I was cornered. "Got you now!" Zach said as he tackled me. I got the wind knocked out of my but I couldn't help but smile. But then I realized, I had to tell Zach what I heard. I have him back his glasses. He laughed and started to walk out. "Wait!" I said as I grabbed his arm. He looked at me with concern. "I have to tell you something." I said.

~Zachary~
I was out of breath, the little peppermint can run as fast as the gingerbread man. I got my glasses but before I could exit the garden, Richard grabbed my arm. "I have to tell you something." He said. "What is it?" I asked as I turned to him. His eyes were bright and his smile was still there. He looked adorable when he would look up at me. He took me into the backside of the garden where no one really went. "What wrong?" I said. I started to feel scared. "I heard what you said last night." Rich said. My face turned red, I didn't know he was awake. He heard everything I said. "Everything?" I said sheepishly. "Yeah." He said. I sat down, I felt embarrassed, what if he doesn't like me back. "Well, what gonna happen now, now that you know how I feel about you." I said. I felt like I was gonna lose him. "This!" He yelled. He grabbed my shirt and pulled me close. His eyes met mine, he looked so adorable. He put his arms around my waist, it felt good. I could feel my face getting closer and closer to his. Then that's when it happened. He kissed me, his lips tasted like candy. "Yes Zach, I will be more than happy to go to the dance with you." Richard said. I cried out of joy, I picked him up and spun him around. "I didn't know you felt the same way Rich." I said. "Are you kidding, I didn't think you liked me like this either." Richard said. This was definitely a good way to start today.

~Kai~
I was walking out of my dorm room to go see if the girls needed help decorating. Suddenly Whitney floated out of the trees and landed in front of me. "Here you go." She said. She held out her hand and gave me five dollars. I won the bet. "Shut up!" I yelled. "Yup, I guess you were right. Anyways, do you know anybody that can help with a seance?" She said. I have never been more confused and scared in my life. Why would she ask for help with a seance?
