Definition of School: an institution for educating children

I. Hate. School.
School is suppose to help you for your future
High school is not doing that shit.
If anything, high school is teaching us the most unnecessary things. In math, we have to learn how to measure a fucking slope. If I want to be a doctor, how the fuck is learning how to measure a slope gonna help me cure cancer. it's not, therefore not needed. I understand if there are some people that need to know those things, like okay, i get that, they can learn it. not the whole population.
in science, we are learning about light and mirror. but if i want to be a paediatrician, how is knowing how mirrors work gonna help cure cancer. its not. physics is not. The human body, chemistry, and biology are the only science courses that i need. Unless you want to work with electricity then fine, go learn it, im not.
in english, we are learning poetry. But if i want to be a model, how the fuck is knowing the literary devices to a poem gonna help me be a model. it wont. writing poetry is only best for authors.
like i understand that high school is just a door to a bunch of careers, but like most people already know what the want to be and they have to learn all this unnecessary shit. Kids struggle with math, but if they want to be a doctor, learning how to measure a slope or find the age of two sibling with a total of 35 and they are 2 years apart is not what they need to become a doctor.
what im trying to say is high school should be that location where they teach you how to do things that will help you a lot more than learning that age of two people. Like how to pay taxes because i still dont know how that works, and if you do, great. But i can ask my parents these things cas they always come home late from work. as soon as they come home, they're tired and hungry. so i help with dinner and make sure they eat and then they go to bed. in that time i dont ask. thats the thing teachers and the fucking school board doesnt fucking understand.
NOT ALL PARENTS HAVE GREAT JOBS. MY PARENTS GET PAID MINIMUM WAGE AND YOU EXPECT MY PARENTS TO PAY $90 JUST FOR ME TO ATTEND SCHOOL NEXT YEAR. YOU EXPECT ME TO PAY HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS TO GO TO A SEMINAR TO BECOME A PAEDIATRICIAN. NO!
ITS HONESTLY SO FUCKING ANNOYING HOW MUCH THESE THINGS ARE. SCHOOL ENTRY, FIELD TRIPS, UNIFORM AND THE MOTHER FUCKING CAFETERIA.
like not everyone has good paying job. we dont need to learn everything in the book because to some of us, it wont be useful. high school needs to get their shit together.
