Ryan's POV
"...Is that what made you have an abortion?"
"You bastard" I found myself saying silently as I looked at the bewildered look on Abi's face.
I knew at that very second the cameras would be pointing in my direction, but to be honest the anger raging through me at this point made me not give a shit. I watched as Abi gathered herself and then couldn't help smile at her comeback "No I had a miscarriage, I am very disappointed you didn't do your homework Piers"
"Forgive me I didn't realise it was a miscarriage" Piers quickly apologised and Abi seemed content enough with his apology so I left it at that "Abi your marraige to Nick lasted 14 years and you were together for 21 years, now we all know about the troubles you guys went through but you've also shared to pretty good highs aswell..."
"Yeah I mean I can never regret my relationship with Nick because of Freya" I smile as Abi speak more confidently again now I've also grown unbreakable bonds with amazing people along the way, like with the rest of the boys for instance"
"Okay I want to take you back to a pretty painful time in your life if I may" Piers seemed quite sympathetic "I want to take you back to when you were using drugs" I watch Abi nod.
"Erm it's no secret I started using drugs, but it all started from prescription medication" Abi sniffs a little "Painkillers and sleeping pills and then it progressed, and I became addicted to Crack cocaine about 2 years later"
"It became a pretty dangerous time in your life...?"
"Yeah the thing about being a successful young actress is you always have the opportunity to get your hands on this sort of thing...I mean the money is always there to be spent, I had no boundaries" Abi looked pretty confident answering Piers awkward questions.
"During your addiction was there ever a time when you thought enough was enough?" Piers asked and Abi frowned.
"There were a couple if times when I could have quite happily given up...but I stayed strong and focused"
"And what about Freya how did your addiction affect her?"
"It effected her badly" Abi swallows hard, I can hear the shakiness in her voice "She was only young and didn't really understand what was happening"
"It got really bad at one stage, so bad in fact that you asked for Freya to be removed from your care...tell us about that"
"By that point I was pretty consumed with addiction, I had stopped caring about anyone or anything. Nick couldn't get through to me, my parents couldn't...I mean I just didn't care"
"So what happened?"
"I had started using drugs in the house, and Freya got hold of some. She didn't take them, just held them in her little hand...I knew in that second I couldn't be near her, so I gave Nick full parental responsibility..."
"But that wasn't what stopped you was it?..."
"No about two months later I was living in a pent house apartment in Los Angeles, my Dad came over to visit for a few days and he found me unconcious on the kitchen floor. I had been sick and almost choked on it. My Mom and Dad decided that was enough and did they checked me into rehab. Then after a blood test I found out I was pregnant with my son"
"And that gave you the kick you needed to quit?"
"Yeah definately, I turned a corner and had started to realise what I was doing to my family" Abi is still holding it together surprisingly well.
