Ryan's POV

After everything that had happened my main focus now was on this pregnancy test, which I was now staring at. I waited for Abi to reply to my question, I mean it's taking her long enough and it's a simple question...

"No" She replied and I was instantly puzzled, the box hadn't been opened "I thought I was so I brought a test, but I came on my period" she replied and I nodded. Makes sense I guess "I'm sorry I didn't tell you I just...with everything that's happened..."

"Hey its fine" I reassured her, it really wasn't a big deal. Like Abi said it had been a stressful time lately.

"No it's not I should have told you I thought I might be pregnant, but the truth is I was scared..." What?

"Scared?" I questioned and she nodded gently.

"Not because of being pregnant...but...The way the press have been following me recently I know it's hard for you to bare and I just thought it would make it worse for you if I was pregnant, you'd feel the need to protect me all the time and I didn't want to..."

"Just sssh" I silenced Abi's mumbling with my finger "I feel the need to protect you even when you're not pregnant, you're my wife, it's my job. Abi Don't ever feel like you being pregnant it as bad thing okay?"

"Okay, I love you" she replied. I gently kissed her lips and tried to reassure her some more.

"I love you too baby, always will" I felt her body trembling against me as I held her. She was obviously more shaken than she was letting on "You sure you're okay?"

"Not really" She shook her head and started to pull away from me "Can we get some air? I need air"

Abi had rushed out of the French doors and onto the balcony, which overlooked the back garden "Abi" I called after her as I followed her.

"I can't do this again Ryan, someone being in the house like that. It makes me think of him...I just..." Tears were forming in her eyes as she practically choked on her words, I could see she was fighting her emotions with everything she had.

"Hey its okay, I'm here" I put my hand on her cheek and she looked deep into my eyes "I won't let anything happen to you..."

"What if next time you're not here? What if he comes back while you're on tour? What if it wasn't a random attack...I...I" I could tell instantly Abi was struggling to breathe again.

"Baby it's okay calm down, Abi look at me" I grabbed her arms but it was too late. Abi's anxiety was too much "LEROY, LEROY" I called out as Abi fainted in my arms.

I heard Leroy's heavy footsteps rush towards us as I held Abi in my arms until she came round "She fainted" I informed Leroy as he came out onto the balcony.

"Another anxiety attack?" Leroy questioned and I nodded.

"Yeah I think so" I replied "Maybe we should call a doctor?"

"I'll do that, put her in the bedroom. Lay her on the bed" Leroy suggested and I carried her inside.

"I've never seen her like this before" I was genuinely worried for her well being, this was her second anxiety attack in 10 minutes.

"I have" Leroy sighed as he watched me lay Abi down, as soon as I put her body on the bed, Abi's eyes flickered.

"Abi" I said gently and took Abi's hand in mine. I was a little frustrated that I hadn't been able to question Leroy more.

"Oh god I'm sorry" Abi sat up and looked around the room "Wait how did I...?"

"You fainted honey, I carried you in here out of the cold" I explained "Are you okay now?"

"Yeah I think so" Abi looked both confused and horrified "Are the police here yet?" She turned to Leroy.

"Yes baby girl, and I called Tony and Harry too" Leroy replied kuch to Abi's frustration.

"What did you do that for?" She snapped a little.

"Because I thought it was better to hear it from me rather than in the Internet or news channel" Abi nodded and looked up at me "I'm sorry" she sniffed and I moved some hair from her face.

"For what?" I asked and she looked a little ashamed "Abi look at me, what do you think you have to apologise for?"

"I should have told you sooner" Abi was talking in some sort of riddles, they weren't making any sense "About the tests"

"That's not important now..." I started but was rudely interupted by Harriet.

"Oh honey thank god, I'm do glad you're okay" She gushed as she rushed to sit on the bed the, on opposite side of Abi "Did you get a good look at him?"

"No, but Ryan did" Abi looked at me and I half smiled "He hit him..."

"You did what?" Harriet looked pissed off "How could you be so stupid? This could backfire in all different directions..."

"I was protecting my family, I don't give a shit what the repercussions are...I'd do it again in a heart beat" my tone was harsh but I didn't really care.

"Harry he had a knife" Abi added causing Harriet to pause.

"Ryan I'm sorry, I didn't mean to. Of course your instinct was to protect them" Harry was quick to apologize.

"Abi, Ryan" Leroy called us over talk to one of the police officers "You both need to hear this"

"What?" Abi said as we both head over to them.

"Mrs Tedder we believe the man who was in here tonight has been making contact with your daughter. Through an online chat room" the officer sighed "Is she home?"

"No she's at her Dad's, she's staying there for a few more weeks. I don't understand what you're trying to say officer?" I couldn't believe what he was suggesting.

"Freya wouldn't do.something like that she isn't that stupid" I quickly defended my step - daughter much to Abi's relief.

"Well I'm afraid it's the only explanation Sir" I looked at Abi who was shaking her head. And I have to admit this was hard for me to believe too. Freya wasn't an idiot she knew how to be safe online. No there was much more to this that we hadn't figured out yet...
