"This is actually your father's home. Your real father. But he can't be here anymore. He gave up that privilege when he sent you here to be protected." We walked into the library and stopped in front of a huge painting of a man and woman, they looked to be truly in love. She had flowers in her hair and a long flowing dress that seemed to shimmer in the light. She had my red hair, you really can't miss it. This must be my mother. Around her feet, it seemed like the flowers were reaching up to touch her. How strange. The man in the portrait looked very intimidating, but his eyes told a different story. All you could see in them were love for the woman in his embrace. He had dark black hair and he seemed a bit pale. I guess that is where my skin tone comes from then. "Chase?" " Yes Scarlett?" " Tell me about them."

We took a seat next to each other on the couch to the side, so I could still study them.
" Your father is know as Lucifer, or the devil. But as you can see, he knew how to love. And so he did. At first, he wanted to trick your mother into having his child. But after he captured her, he fell in love with her. First with her beauty, but when she forgave him, he truly saw her beauty and she decided to stay with him. They moved here, and created this little village for the supernatural who wanted to live in peace. Nobody would have believed that the devil had gone soft, so of course he had to keep up appearances. Your mother understood this, as long as he was fair in his judgment of others. Now, your mother. She was the Goddess of Earth. Which is why Lucifer wanted her to bare his child. So he could have an offspring that could influence earth itself. But they made a compromise. They would each stick to their realm and not interfere in the other's business. They were so in love, that it affected everyone around them.

The creatures of the night, such as myself, realized we could also find a love that could change our world. And so it was. Lucifer granted us all the ability to find our true love. Our soul mate if you wish. But it was a very rare occurrence." He looked over to me and smiled softly, I'm not sure what his eyes were telling me, but it gave me butterflies. "Some of the other gods and goddesses and creatures of the supernatural world, felt it was wrong for them to settle down. Since they were both so important yet on opposite sides. So they obviously tried to stand against them. Your father decided he needed to protect your mother at all costs. So he scoured the globe for soldiers, the best of the best. He needed men who were loyal, who had souls to take but would not lose their humanity in the process. And here I am, the Commander of your father's army. Once you were born, the war happened, and your mother was taken. Your father may be many things. But he loves you very much Scarlett."

I had tears running down my cheeks but I didn't notice until I felt Chase wipe them away gently. I looked into those gorgeous eyes and he simply help me close and let me cry out everything. All the confusion and doubt. I can't believe what is happening. When I asked for an adventure, i didn't mean this! I felt Chase squeeze me a little tighter and run his fingers through my hair. It was so soothing.
" Have you found your mate Chase?" He stopped his movement and leaned away so he could look into my eyes, as if he was searching for an answer. " Yes, I have now." I could see it in the way he looked at me. I looked at the portrait of my parents and back at him. Yip, that's the same expression."

"I'm your soul mate? Wait don't answer that. How do you know?" He leaned closer, whispering in my ear as his fingers skimmed over my neck, down my shoulder and followed my arm down to my hand. He took my hand and placed it onto his chest, so I could feel his heart beating. " Do you feel that? Until yesterday, when I looked into your eyes, I didn't have a heartbeat. You gave me a new reason to live Scar. You are my everything from today onwards. But I will wait for you. Until you are ready to accept who you are and what you will become. And I will be right there with you all the way. "

His husky voice and me shivering in my seat. My hormones were going crazy. it just felt right. His touch, his scent, his smile, those eyes. God those eyes are going to be the death of me one day I tell you. He gave me a cheeky smirk as if he could read my thoughts, oh right, he can. " Your really need to teach me how to block you from my head before I die of embarrassment.  " At this he laughed out loud. He gently pulled me up from the couch and circled his arms around my waist, pulling me flush against him. He lowered his mouth to my neck and kissed it lightly, making me grasp onto his shoulders. " If I didn't just meet you last night, I would have you screaming my name right here Scar. I know you want me, but I'm afraid if I let myself go, I won't be able to stop. You are mine and I am yours. We have time. I promise." He then trailed light kisses along my jaw and then he kissed me softly, gently. Like a promise for more is being made. Best first kiss ever!!!
