Waking up to the sound of laughter coming from downstairs is the best feeling in the world. Laughter meant that everyone was relaxed. I smiled as I opened my eyes to stare through the window at the sun setting behind the trees. As I sat up, I noticed something strange though, I had a slight bump where my stomach was. For a moment I felt panicked and suddenly my bedroom door flew open. There stood the love of my life with a sword at the ready as my father and Damon flank his sides in a second, equally as alert. " What's wrong love? I felt your panic I knew you would wake up today but there is no need to panic. Everyone is safe and downstairs waiting for you to wake up." He came into the room with my father following and Damon stood by the door, just in case. I looked up at Chase with confusion obviously showing in my eyes. " I'm pregnant?" I asked in a whisper but they both heard me. Their smiles almost reaching their ears as the looked at me, pride shining in their eyes for me. " You have been asleep for almost 2 weeks love, but your father arrived last week and said that you would be fine. You needed to rest properly to prevent any problems from occurring. It was your body's way of protecting what's inside it, even though you didn't realize it at first. I felt it on the battlefield, when you were facing Syngen on your own."

He sat down next to me on the bed and pulled me onto his lap, holding me close as my father knelt in front of me. " It's good to finally see you for real sweetheart. How are you feeling? Any aches or pains?" He took my hand in his, for both comfort and to check my physical condition. I was a bit lost for words as I watched my father. Happiness couldn't describe how I felt as I practically tackled him to the floor and hugged the life out of him. I felt him wrap his arms around me and hold me close. I finally have my family. My real family. I felt tears escape down my cheeks and he must have noticed too. He pulled away and wiped them away before looking towards the door. I looked that way too and almost choked on a sob at the sight before me. There stood my mother, her smile as radiant as the sun itself. She even had this glow about her as she moved into the room, I could see flowers in her hair and her clothes looked like something out of a fairytale. She took cautious steps closer to us, but when she saw me smile at her, she fell to the floor and wrapped us up in her arms, crying tears of joy. And everywhere her tear fell, warmth enveloped me making me feel safe in their embrace.

After our little family reunion, they left to go downstairs so I could freshen up. Chase helped me get undressed and washed every inch of my body and then kissed every inch. As he knelt down in front of me, he kissed my little baby bump and looked up into my eyes with so much love I could feel my heart skip a beat. Running my fingers through his hair, I pulled him up and kissed him teasingly. moving my lips along his jaw to his ear, " Make love to me..." I whispered. I didn't have to ask him twice. He had me up against the wall in seconds. " Soon we won't be able to do it this way you know, better get as many moments in as we can." He chuckled as I arched my back, feeling him thrust into me. Oh my, I can't wait to spend the rest of forever with this man. He made love to me twice in the shower before laying me out on our bed like a feast he intended to devour. And I happily gave him everything he wanted.

After our little private moment upstairs, I got dressed in the comfiest clothes in my closet and stepped out of the room. Susan was standing there waiting for me it seems, she looked at me with her eyes wide and tears started running as she walked up to me and gave me a huge hug. " I was so worried about you Princess. I'm glad you are back." She took a step away from me when Chase cleared his throat. Giving me a slight nod, she disappeared down the hallway once again. Chase took my hand in his as he led my down to my new family.

As I stood at the door watching them all talk and laugh together, I felt my soul settle peacefully. My family. Going from having no one and being a scared girl. Finding all these hidden secrets about myself and the people around me and then fighting a battle like no other. It was all worth it, to look at these people and being able to call them my family. Sure they weren't the average family, since we had demons, nymphs and even the devil himself having coffee and demanding that my mother share her cookie with him. But they were my family and I would give my everything to keep them safe.

As if they could all hear my thoughts, they looked up at me standing by the door and each smile filled me with so much love and happiness. I can't wait to get to know them better, now that we have time. No more secrets and no more lies. Just family and this little bump of mine who will be joining us soon.
