Hidden Secrets

Chapter 21

We have been training for a few weeks now and finally we've had a few scouts come back with news about sighting enemy a few days away. We had to get some plans worked out before we could attack first. Using the element of surprise would work to our advantage. They wont be expecting the amount of support I have received from all across the supernatural world. This is a war, against me and my parents. They took my mother and I need to find her as quickly as possible. They don't think I have much to go on, since I've only had a few months to learn and to them I'm just a clueless girl.

I was sitting outside, talking to the big oak tree when I fell asleep. I opened my eyes to see my father sitting there waiting for me patiently. "Hello sweetheart, I see you've been busy." I sat down next to him and cuddled into his side as he held me close. " I missed you dad, I'm afraid of what's coming and I have no idea what to expect.  I wish you could be there, but I know it's not possible." He played with my hair as he listened to me. " You are stronger than any being I have met in my entire lifetime. your weakness is how much you care for others. But I don't see it as a weakness, more of a distraction to be honest. But we all have that. I just need you to remember, this is a war. The only other person you need to protect, apart from yourself, is Chase. The others know what they are supposed to do and they understand that a distraction can cost you everything. So you need to remember that. People will die, and they will do it with honor. Don't take that away from them if it could cost you more than you are willing to give up." I knew what he said was true and I will try to remember it. " I've been feeling this strange pull inside of me, like something calling for me. I'm not sure what it is and Chase said it might just be my senses picking up the enemy. But it feels more like a call for help than anything else."

Before I could continue, he interrupted me. " When did this feeling start?" " About a week ago, I wanted to follow it, but Chase thought it would be too dangerous to go by myself, especially now that D-Day is near. So I've been trying to keep it under control for now." He turned to look at me earnestly, " I think it might be your mother. Now that you have completed your transformation and you have all your abilities and powers under control you will be able to find her. I think it might be a good idea to take a few people with you, the enemy will be distracted and on their way to you. They would only leave a handful of people to guard your mother. You can get her in time and bring her to me then go back to help in the fight.  It should work out fine then, you have over 2000 beings ready to fight for you, that's more than half of the enemy's army. They would be able to keep them busy until you return." I thought about it for a few minutes, rearranging a few plans in my head and then I smiled at him, " I can do that. Let me get back, we can still leave before nightfall. Thank you Dad. I love you." " No problem sweetheart. When you get your mother, just say these words. ianuam inferni aperta pro me. It means Open hell's gates for me. With you being my daughter, it will open instantly, I will be right there waiting for you. Now hurry up, someone is coming to you for help. I love you Princess."

I opened my eyes to find the four nymphs looking at me with curious eyes. " You were out of it for awhile, but we didn't want to disturb unless it was really necessary. We have a problem with the water supply at the lake, it seems to have been poisoned. Conventina tried to extract whatever it was, that was making everything sick, but she's not strong enough." I jumped up quickly and ran as fast as I could reaching the lake, I could see the grass around it was dying and a few animals close by were also dead. I stepped closer and took in everything from sounds to smells, anything that could help. "Chase, I'm going to need a drink from your blood to give me extra strength baby. Come meet me at the lake and bring Damon as well."

They arrived a few moments later, shocked at the sight in front of them. " This is a cheap shot, they must have known this is our main water source when we train, because every shifter comes here to freshen up. I can extract the poison from the water and the ground around it, but my strength will drain quickly." Damon walked closer to the water, touching it and smelling it to see what he could figure out. " It's demon's blood. It would kill anything not strong enough to withstand it. Some might just get sick for awhile, but this is a problem. We have had patrols 24/7 around the estate. There is no way anyone came in and the witches have placed barriers everywhere, so we have a traitor amongst us. " I was furious in seconds. I walked up to Chase and he pulled me into his arms. " Drink up love, you're going to need it." I felt my fangs extend and the nymphs gasped as I sank my fangs into his neck, taking as much as I would need to keep me at full strength for as long as possible. I felt Chase harden against my hip, this was a real turn on for him. Pity I couldn't do anything about it now. I pulled away and licked the wound o it would heal quickly. " Thanks baby, now watch your woman work." I gave him a cheeky smile before asking them to give me some space.

I stepped into the water, as I felt the power take over my body. I concentrated on every particle of demon blood I could find, extracting it into the air where it formed a sphere. I kept it all together and started walking towards the house. We had a platform to stand upon as we talk to a big crowd so i went to stand upon it. " Get the witches to seal off this area as soon as everyone is here." I whispered to Chase. he gave me a quick nod. I used my ability to communicate with others and forced as much power as possible into my command. " I want all the demons in the meeting area in the next 5 minutes, if you feel like testing me today, then don't show up." I looked around to see them appearing in groups from their training areas. They all looked a bit scared, must be because I have a sphere of blood floating in the air in front of me.

As soon as I felt they were all here, I gave a nod to Chase who closed his eyes for a second or two before telling me it is done. " As you all can see, I've found a little something that someone lost along the way. Now you can either step forward and admit to your betrayal and I might give you a swift death. Or, You can keep your mouth shut and I'll have Lucian deal with you. Since I just had my nails done I don't really feel like messing it up just yet." I looked out over the crowd and saw a man trying to sneak backwards. As he turned to escape, he ran straight into the barrier the witches places for me. " Get him" I said softly for Damon to hear, since it is one of his soldiers, not mine. He was back in an instant holding the guy by the neck. He was snarling at me like a crazed animal. " You will never win, I have already given away everything I've learned to my master. Just kill me you pathetic bitch."

I just kept my eyes on him, looking deep into his soul. His eyes went wide with fear when he realized what I was doing. He tried to escape, but Damon being the ultimate demon, kept him in place without much effort. " We'll see who this master is you speak of." I said as I grabbed his head in between my hands and looked deeper into his soul. I could see kids running around, so he had a family. Then a dark figure stepped out of the woods to met him. The man didn't look familiar to me. But I could see he was a vampire. A very old vampire. The demon gave him some of our plans of attack and he left without another word. I stepped away from the demon. " Kill him Lucian, make it slow and painful in front of everyone, so they know never to cross me again. You betray me, you betray my family. And I will kill for my family." I said looking directly at the demon.

As I walked away I could hear the screams of torture as Lucian tore into the demon and the gasps from the crowd now surrounding the clearing. Good, now they know not to mess with me. I've been friendly until now, but now it's time to get serious and get shit done. I need to find my mother. " Meet me in our private lounge area, we have an important issue to discuss." I told the few people I trusted as I faded into a shadows.
