Hidden Secrets

Chapter 6

After our intense discussion in the library, we went down for breakfast. Susan was standing close to the table ready to serve me anything I ask for apparently. So I decided to change things up a bit. I mean, if I am his mate, then I should be able to change a few things right? So I concentrated real hard to project my thoughts to him. He was sitting calmly reading a news paper when all of a sudden he jumped up when he heard my voice in his head. I didn't think it would work, how awesome is that!

"Chase? You there? Over!" Hehehe, see what I did there? " Yes Scar I can hear you perfectly, which is very strange to be honest. How are you even doing that? " " I'm not too sure really, I just thought about what I would like to do and I did it." He gave me a strange look then looked at me, waiting for me to continue. "Oh Yes, Could I make a few changes with some things in the house? You know, since it's my father's house technically?" He seemed to think about it for a second and agreed that I could do whatever I please to be honest.

So i stood up and told him to show me the kitchen. He looked at my like I was crazy yet again, and lead me to the kitchen with Susan tagging along. She seemed really confused and the expression on her face just made me laugh out loud. " So since my father is Lucifer, I should have some wicked skills shouldn't I? I mean, I can't not have anything at all?" As I walked into the kitchen I noticed an older looking gentleman standing there in a chef's uniform. " You can have the morning off, we'll only need your assistance again at lunch. Go enjoy your morning off." He practically choked from the shock. His mouth dropping to the floor and Chase just looked at me like I just killed his favorite cat. " What? I feel like cooking." As I shuffled the poor chef out of the kitchen, I asked Susan to help me gather everything I'll need, since I have no clue where anything is. "Do we have any music in here?" I asked Chase and he nodded, but didn't do anything. So I placed my hand on my hip and gave him a look that told him exactly what he needs to do. He just kept looking at me like I'm delusional. " Could you please switch some music on for us to cook to Chase?" I heard Susan gasp and Chase glared at her. " Whats wrong?" I gave them both skeptical looks. " The staff do not know my name. They weren't supposed to know my name, to keep us all safe. They only knew me as Mr Wolfe. You see, I am the master of all Vampires and Susan here, is a vampire too. So now she knows who I really am. She thought I was just a rich vampire who got myself a human bride. Isn't that right Susan?" "Yes Master, I'm sorry Master. I won't say a word. I like Miss Winters, please don't send me away Master." " He wont send you away Susan, I'll make sure of it. I promise and I never break a promise."

Chase just took me by my arms, threw me over his shoulder and ran so fast I thought I would throw up. He placed me on my bed after slamming the big door shut. " You can't go around making promises like that Scar! My nr 1 priority is you. Your safety. I would kill anyone who even tries to harm you. So you can't make those promises. Because even though Susan likes you, she might not like you as much once she finds out who your father is. Everyone has their own opinion. It would take one call from her, to give away our location. And then we are stuck, because you're not ready to fight until you've developed your abilities. You have already caused me another issue with her knowing who I am. I need to either threaten her, not to say a word or kill her. But then you are going to hate me. So I'll make you a deal. You talk to her. If she messes this up for us, I get to say I told you so and I kill her anyways. But, if she does keep her word, and helps to keep you safe, then you have just made our second best friend in the supernatural world. Deal?"

I could just look at him in shock. He's a vampire. She's a vampire. I just clicked what they were saying. Omg, I'm in love with a vampire.How did this happen? I mean, I knew he wasn't entirely human. He's too strong, too fast and he can read my mind! But he doesn't look like a vampire. Where are his fangs? Oh God and he's giving me that cute look. "Stop it!!! You can't just listen to my thought all the time."

Suddenly I felt very lightheaded and as I thought this, his arms were around me, catching me before my legs gave in. When I came to, I was lying down on my bed, with Chase sitting next to me and Susan hovering by my door. "How are you feeling Scar?" He reached out and ran his fingertips across my cheek. "You guys aren't going to drink my blood are you?" Was the first words out of my mouth. They both cracked up with laughter, Susan seemed to have relaxed a bit more. "Did you talk to her?" I asked looking at Chase. " Yes, we discussed the situation, Susan also knows who you really are and she knows that you are my mate. She has pledged her loyalty to you as the Princess of the Underworld and Earth itself. If she betrays your trust, I will personally kill her. " I looked over at Susan and she bowed down to me with a huge smile on her face. " I am at your service Princess." " Oh no, please get up Susan, that just made me feel really old and snobby. You are my friend, who likes to make my bed for some odd reason. But I like it like that ya know. Come on, how about you get me drink of water and whatever you guys need. And maybe something to eat, I don't feel up to getting out of this comfy bed just yet." I gave her a pleading smile and she was happy to help. Practically skipping out of the door. As I focused back on Chase, he was giving me that look again. " What's on your mind? " He smiled mischievously and said, " Before you passed out, you said you're in love with a vampire. Is that true? " I just looked at him and smiled, " Maybe it is? Who knows?" He scooted me to the middle of the bed, so he could lie down next to me. Resting my head onto his chest.

" How is it possible for me to feel like this after knowing you for two days? It shouldn't be like this, should it?" He wrapped his arms around me and shifted me onto my side so he could look into my eyes. " Scar, with mates, it's like love at first sight. That day I saw you on the doorstep, I almost grabbed you and rushed to the bedroom to claim you as mine. But I had to keep myself calm and remind myself that you are still human. But I love you already. Don't ever doubt our feelings for each other. Because in this crazy world, that's all we have that we can trust. " He kissed my head softly before helping me up, just as Susan entered the room with a snack and some drinks. " here you go. Master I have your drink ready, would you like it here with the Princess? " He looked over at me and I just nodded my head. " As long as you didn't kill and innocent human for it, then I'm okay. I think. "" I don't kill humans for their blood, love. I only drink blood that's donated to us. I have an entire business that ensures all blood is donated safely, and can be purchased semi legally by other vampires. Well, the good ones. There are always a few who don't really care much. But that's not important. You need to eat." He handed me my plate of cookies and milk and watched me eat them all. " You're going to need all your strength. Your birthday is next week, then your abilities will kick in. Your body will change to adapt to the new features and it'll take a lot out of you. So rest for today love, and we'll talk again later this evening. I have some business to take care of, so I'll be home soon." He kissed me softly and slipped out of my room, leaving me to my thoughts. And I slipped into a dreamless sleep. My last thoughts being of everything that happened within the last two days.
