It's been two days since Chase and I lost all our inhibitions in the little library. Since then they have been giving me lessons on the supernatural. What exists, who not to trust etc etc. So I've had a lot of info stuffed into my head and I needed some quiet time to process it all. I asked Susan where I could get some fresh air so I could just be alone for a second, but still be close enough if Chase needed me and she took me to an entrance that led to the roof. From here I could see everything. How did I miss this place? It's like a lounge area on the actual roof of the mansion. I noticed that the roof still came up quite high on the sides, but not enough to close off the view. But I guess from below it would look like a normal roof.

So here I'm sitting, lost in thought, when this huge bird comes swooping down and lands not far from me. It just sits there on the ledge, watching me. I couldn't help but stare at that magnificent creature. it seemed like the tips of it's feathers were on fire, but I guessed it was just an illusion to ward off any enemies it might have. It then awkwardly walked closer to me and nudged me with its head, before hopping onto the roof and scooting closer and closer to the edge. It kept looking back at me, as if waiting for me to come with. So I thought why not, I mean, I've been doing loads of stupid things lately. Why not follow an unknown bird onto a roof that's about 6 stories up in the air.

As I got closer to he edge, I noticed that he was pecking at something sticking out from beneath the ledge. So I lied down on my stomach, I'm not totally dumb, and I tried to get it out of there. As soon as it was loose enough, I pulled it hard and out it came. The last piece. I got so excited, that I forgot where I was and I jumped up to do my own little victory dance. As I stopped, thinking I should call Chase and tell him, he came out onto the roof and looked around for me. When he saw where I was, his eyes almost bugged out of his head and he called me to come down to him. Then as I wanted to take a step closer, the bird suddenly decided it was now time to scare the shit out of me and took to the air right in front of me, making me lose my footing and I slipped off the edge. I heard Chase frantically calling my name. But all I could think was, I was falling very slowly, or not at all. I peaked through one eye, and noticed I was only half way down. As I looked further up, Chase was standing there with a tear slipping down his cheek. "I'm okay, I think. Now how does this work?" I looked down to the ground and then up to Chase. "I'm going to try something okay. Think you can go down, and maybe catch me if I fail?" He was gone in a second and the next moment he shouted up to me that he was there.

I took a deep breath and tried to move my body. I ended up doing flips in the air, it was quite funny actually. I then noticed that there was a breeze below me, so I tried to straighten myself out in a standing position. I then pushed down with my palms, as if to force the air downwards and suddenly I started dropping too fast, so I clenched my fists and I stopped. I peeked out of one eye again and noticed I was only a few feet above chase. "Catch me..." was my last words before I blacked out again.

I think I may have gotten some brain damage after all the ties I've blacked out, because I swear I could hear my dad talking to me again. I sat up suddenly when I felt water splash onto my face. And there he was, laughing like he just witnessed the funniest thing ever. " Hello again sweetheart. Since you are technically passed out for the next two days, while your body goes through it's last changes so your powers can settle inside of you. We will be training here. You need to learn how to defend yourself properly. And how to use the gifts you were born with. I will be teaching you the basics, but you will have to train some more with chase to improve what you have learned here. Now get up lazy bums. It's time to play."

Suddenly the place started to resemble a jungle of some sorts, or I think that is what it was. And I was standing there in different clothes. I felt like a warrior from the amazon, stuck in the matrix. This was all very confusing to take in at once. My dad looked like a kid in a candy store, he was so excited. " Hello dad, give me a second will you? I just fell from the roof of the mansion for Pete sake. " he just smiled at me gently before enveloping me in a tight hug. " I know, who do you think sent the bird silly? I had to give you a slight nudge in the right direction, which in this case was down. Hah! you should have seen your face." He was crazy, I think he has lost his mind being stuck down in hell all on his own." No I have not gone crazy, I did what needed to be done for your own protection. There are enemies getting closer by the day and you need to be ready. Now come on, we don't have much time left." He seemed a bit irritated now, so I just kept my thoughts to myself and followed him.

We have been training non stop for hours on end. I now know how to command my powers and to bring them forth. My little monster can actually keep me safe, since it has it's own mind of sorts, so even if I'm distracted, it'll keep me safe. I know hand to hand combat and apparently I'm very talented with crossbows and swords. Who knew? I had this knowledge locked inside my head and my dad knew just how to unlock it. He used a lot of threats to get me angry enough to attack him, but I understood his method after realizing that it worked. Now that I have all my mother's gifts, earth, fire, water and wind, I can basically control everything on earth if I tried hard enough. And Apparently I will have to gather an army of my own. Chase and are supposed to gather all those who are still loyal towards my mom and dad, to stand with us against some council. These are the guys who killed my caretakers and kidnapped my mom. Unfortunately, we can't locate her either, not until I've reached my full potential and that could take awhile.

We sat down after my last lesson in stealth. I could now sneak up on even my father without him noticing before it's too late. " Thanks dad, I really appreciate this. I can't wait to actually spend time with you just for fun, instead of all this. I feel like I hardly know you, apart from what I've read. And the few moments we've spent talking. But I know it's all for a reason." He pulled me closer and draped his arm across my shoulder, kissing my head. " Your mother will be very proud of you and so am I. I couldn't have asked for a better daughter. You are everything to me, always remember that. And whenever you need me, just think about me and I'll come to you somehow. We might not be able to talk, but I can listen. Like the bird today. I love you Scarlett. Now go be the leader they need. "
