Chapter 10

I woke up alone in my bed, I had a feeling of loss without Chase's body close to mine. He said the more time we spent together, the stronger our bond would grow. It's been a few days since I discovered the first piece, which was fire. We've been playing with this ability of mine and It seems I have complete control, even though I'm a newby at all of this.

I wonder where he is, he usually waits for me to wake up before going about his duties during the day. We've been sleeping in each others arms every night. No, we haven't been done the deed, but it is getting a bit more difficult to control our urges. Whenever he touches my skin, my whole body comes alive and I have to either take a cold shower or think about dead puppies. Anything to lessen the need to throw myself at him like a hussy.

he hasn't been much help in the control department either. Between his teasing kisses and the way he would let his hands wonder all over my body, you would think he was trying to see how far he could push me before I gave in. Which will be soon if my hormones had anything to say about it. Get your head out of the gutter Scar, before you lose your mind.

As I sat up in bed, my bedroom door opened and in walked Susan. She looked very hyper this morning, if that's even possible, since she always looks like an energizer bunny hopping around doing as much as possible. " Good Morning Princess, isn't it just a lovely day today. Perhaps you would like to soak in a bubble bath this morning while I tidy up in here and then I will help you chose an outfit for the day. You have a very important appointment around lunch time." She practically skipped over to my lounge area to fluff the cushions and straighten the magazines on the coffee table. " What do you mean I have an appointment? Who with? " She gave me a look that just told me what I needed to know. " With the master of course. He has a few things that needs to be discussed and he would like for you to join him in his office as soon as you are ready. But we don't have too much time. Come on, I'll run your bath for you." And there she goes again.

All to soon I was dressed in a nice summer dress with sandals and my hair was slightly curled at the ends. I don't wear much make up to begin with, so I only added some eyeliner and mascara to make my eyes pop. Raising my hand to knock on the office door, I got a bit of a fright when it opened suddenly and Chase was standing there with a huge grin spreading across his face. He pulled me into his chest, wrapping his arms around my waist. " You look lovely this morning. Are you ready for our date?" Date, I thought this was an appointment. I'm going to murder Susan. She knew all along. " Don't kill her love, I told her to say that, so you won't be too nervous. Since this is technically our first date."

He turned me around, wrapping his arms around my body so my head would rest against his shoulder. " I'm going to blindfold you so I can keep our destination a surprise. Now be a good girl and don't ask too many questions. Just be patient with me for a few minutes okay." I could feel the silk fabric against my skin. As he finished tying it, he picked me up into his arms and off we went.

I could feel we were outside and the air was rushing past us. His arms held onto me tightly as I rest my head against his shoulder, leaving soft kisses all over his neck. I could hear him growl softly from my teasing. I giggled at his response and relaxed more into his hold. We came to a stop and I could hear the sound of rushing water. The birds were singing their beautiful tunes and it made me feel at home. He gently set me down on the grass, keeping hold of my hand. He took a few steps closer to the water, I could hear it a bit clearer, but with my new enhanced hearing that I'm still getting used to, it's not so easy to judge distance just yet.

He let go of my hand, and I could hear him moving around before he pulled me closer to his body. he gently loosened the blindfold and right before us was an oasis. There were lush green trees creating a forest like affect and just through the opening between the trees I could see a waterfall rushing into a magnificent rock pool below. It was breathtaking to say the least. Chase took my hand in his and lead met o the waterfall. He stood in front of me and smiled at the look of wonder on my face. " I knew you would like it, now I need you to trust me. If at any moment you feel uncomfortable, just tell me and we'll skip whatever it is we're doing and proceed onto something else. Deal?" I blushed at the look of intent in his eyes and just nodded my head to confirm.

He stood behind me, leaving hot kisses against my neck, just below my ear. His hands reached up to the zip on the back of my dress, slowly lowering it down, making me gasp softly at the feel of his fingertips against my skin. He slowly lowered my shoulder straps down my arms and my dress slipped off of my body, pooling around my feet. Coming to stand in front of me, he looked into my eyes as he knelt down and gently took my sandals off. His eyes never left my face, waiting for any indication that I was not ready. But I couldn't protest, even if I wanted to. My heart was beating a million miles a minute. I think this is it. It's finally going to happen.
