Chapter 7-What Pained Me More Than Falling Face First On The Hard Wooden Floor

Important Author's note at the end, please read it.

I wasn't really the drinking type, not just because it would affect my illness, but also because I genuinely just disliked it. I mean what's the point of having fun for a couple of hours and then suffering from the aftermath the next morning? That just doesn't make any sense.

"C'mon, you know you wanna dance" Vicky whined trying to pull me to the dance floor, but I held my ground.

"I'm not a good dancer, Vic, and you know that" I said stubbornly.
"Oh come on, everyone in here is already drunk off their ass, they wouldn't notice you dancing. Besides, you're not that bad of a dancer, most of your family are dancers for Christ's sake" she argued throwing her arms in the air.

"You go have some fun, Vic, you need it" I said pushing her away.

She just stared at me for a while searching my eyes, before pursing her lips and disappearing through the bodies dancing or either making out on the dance floor. I felt a tap on my shoulder making me turn around only to smile.

"Can I have this dance with the prettiest lady in the room?"

"Oh, there's a prettier girl than me in this room?"

"C'mere" he said chuckling before grabbing me by my waist and pulling me closer to him.

We started dancing and I could safely say that I was really having some good time. I frowned again when I felt this strange feeling I felt back at the track. There was something missing, I could tell, but what? Me and Alex danced for about two songs when someone tapped on Alex's shoulder.

"May the champ have this dance with her?"

"Yeah, sure, I'm tired of dancing anyways"

Alex sauntered away, my eyes followed his light brown hair until it was no longer in sight and then turned around to face him. He was grinning at me like the idiot he is, I just chuckled shaking my head slightly.

"That was an awesome race, Luke, I forgot to congratulate you" I said grinning as I wrapped my arms around his neck.

"Yeah, I'm pretty awesome, aren't I?" He asked cockily popping up his imaginary collar.

"And cocky too"

"You know you missed me"

"Not that much really, I just saw you a couple days ago" I teased him.

"Hey!"

"Just kidding. So...any girls? " I asked wiggling my eyebrows as we danced to this song I'm unfamiliar with.

"Well, now that you ask...yes" he said looking away to hide his blush, but he's dead wrong if he thought I didn't catch that.

"What's her name? " I gushed.

"That's for me to know and for you to wonder"

"Hey, that's not fair!"

"Fine, I'll give you hints then. Her name starts with a G and ends with an E, she's a blonde and have hazel eyes, she's younger than me and I've known her for quite a while now" he explained looking into my eyes the whole time.

"Can you excuse me? I need to find Vicky" I said with a blank face.

"Sure" he said slowly not really so sure.

I unwrapped my hands from around his neck, gave him a fake smile before turning around and quickly making my way through the crowd in search for my crazy blonde friend. There she was dancing her heart out with Ariana and Selena. I quickly made my way over to them, which wasn't that easy seeing there was alot of people blocking my way. I sighed in relief when I finally reached all three of them.
