Chapter 9-It Was Ours

Day 12

It was already Friday, I just got from school a couple minutes earlier. I took a shower, slipped in some white shorts and a pink tank top, i put on my pink combat boots before combing my wet hair. I then threw my hair in a high messy bun, I moved my hips to the rythym of the song, I was currently listening to Confident by Demi, I'm just in love with that song, it's really amazing. I pretended that my comb is a mic as I closed my eyes and started singing and dancing around the room.

"So you say I'm complicated, that I must be out of my mind"

"What's wrong with being, what's wrong with being, what's wrong with being confident?"

The whole room was my stage and the stuffed bears dad bought me when I was a kid, were the audience. I was currently jumping up and down on my bed when the door of my room suddenly opened. I frowned when I saw that it was Jason? Oh, the project, I totally forgot about that. You'd think that I'd call my concert off and blush furiously from the embarrassment of him catching me in such a situation, but actually I did the complete opposite, I did tell you before I wasn't like most girls.

I simply just love having fun and no one was going to hold me back from doing what I want. So I continued the concert, my audience do deserve that I at least finish this one song, right? I wasn't really the shy type, I wouldn't be shy to tell how I truly feel, to speak my mind. They tell me I got my confidence from my mom. The whole time I sang and danced around, I could feel his gaze on me, I just sent him a smile that he surprisingly returned. And god was his smile dazzling.

I only realised that I got lost somewhere in his caramel orbs when the song came to an end, we just stood there staring into each other eyes, him resting against the wall and me on the bed. I snapped out of my trance when another song came on, I jumped off the bed and quickly ran towards my desk that had my ipod on, I turned it off and turned around to look at him with a blank look.

"Not bad, Hollywood " was the first thing be said with a smirk.

"How did you get in?"

"Some guy let me in" he said shrugging.

"He just let you in without even asking who you are?" I asked in disbelief.

"Yeah, he seemed in a hurry, the second I asked where you were, he told me upstairs and quickly ran back into the house " he answered as if it was the most normal thing ever to do.

"I bet it was Caleb " I said shaking my head.

The door bursted open and in barged Ariana, she looked around frantically until her gaze landed on me and only then did she let out a sigh of relief. I frowned at that, what was going on?

"Caleb told me he let someone in and I just freaked out when I realised that he let a stranger in the house while you were all by yourself here" she said sighing.

"That's something Caleb would do and don't worry it's just Jason...my friend? "

I wasn't exactly sure if we were even friends...

"Okay...we decided to have a barbecue today since your mom should be arriving in an hour or so-shit, that was supposed to be a surprise. Stupid, Ari, stupid" she said slamming her hand over her forehead.

"It's okay, I'll make sure to act all surprised" I said chuckling and gave her a quick hug.

"I don't know what I would've done without you" she smiled.

She looked over at Jason and gave him one last smile before leaving my room. I plopped down on my bed and gestured for Jason to take a seat.

"First, we have to decide which book we'll be doing the project on" I said as I crossed my legs.
