Chapter 27: I can always count on Rydel.

Bethany's POV:

After we walked the scenic path, we decided to eat somewhere.

The ride there was kinda awkward.

Once we ate, he drove me home.

"Thanks Brad. I had a good time." I said, smiling at him.

"No problem, I did too. See you later, Bethany!" He replied.

I entered my house and went straight to my room.

I was so tired from everything...

I looked at my clock to see that it's only 7:50pm.

I have a really bad headache AND all the memories from my fight with Ross are coming back.

Why is everything so complicated?

Why can't he just tell me what's going on?

He can't lie forever. He needs to tell me eventually.

But I just don't know why he doesn't trust me with this...

It makes me feel so terrible.

I decided to text Rydel.

text convo...

Me: Hey Rydel...

Rydel: Hiiii! What's wrong? :(

Me: I'm just not in the best mood.

Rydel: oh... Omg! I almost forgot! How was your date with Brad?!

Me: Great, actually!

Rydel: what did you guys do?

Me: we went on a scenic path. It was so beautiful!

Rydel: ouuuhh ;)

I told her everything about our date. I decided to leave out the part when we kissed.

Rydel: wow! Sounds like fun :) glad you had a great time!

Me: it was fun. Thanks, delly!

Rydel: no problem Beth! anyways... sorry to bring it up, but how are things with you and Ross?

I just sat there, staring at my screen.

Me: To be honest, I have no idea. I feel like he doesn't even wanna be friends with me anymore...

Rydel: oh :( look, I know you guys have been fighting a lot recently, but I promise everything will be turn out perfectly fine. You have nothing to worry about.

Me: thanks rydel... But still... He probably hates me right now.

Rydel: you don't know that!! Did he say that?!

Me: no...

Rydel: see! Everything will be fine. Everyone argues with their friends. It's normal.

Me: Okay, thank you for always being here for me, Rydel :) although, I'm still nervous...

Rydel: aw, no problem bethany! I'll always be here for you. And why? Why are you nervous?

Me: because I can tell Ross is keeping something from me. And it makes me nervous because I don't know what that secret is. What if he doesn't trust me anymore?

Rydel: I'm sure it's nothing big. Like I said, everything will be fine! Anyway, I have to go! Sorry! Bye Bethany, and maybe you should talk to Ross tomorrow. Bye!

Me: Thanks, Rydel. And maybe I will call him or something. Bye!

After talking to Rydel, I feel a little better. I'm sure Ross is going to tell me (eventually) and everything will be fine. Just like Rydel said.

Rydel would never lie to me, right?

I hope so.

I look at the time, 8:05pm.

I normally go to bed around 9:30pm - 10:00pm, but for today, I decide to get ready for sleep right now.

Once I'm done and in bed, I realize how tired I am.

I almost immediately fall asleep.

I hope the next time I talk to Ross, he will just tell me the truth and we can be friends again.
