Dear Diary,

After last night, when my father threw me into glass, I havent seen my parents. I woke up this morning, and they werent home.

But this is normal... They randomly disappear then show up again and act like nothing happened.

Im actually happy they arent here. Its my first day of school and im stressed out enough.

Im about to go to school, and im quite nervous but more scared than anything. I'm not exactly popular...

I'm the center of bullying.

Can't wait for this day to be over. Although it hasnt even started.

{Claires POV- Past}

I shove my diary under my pillow, and slip into my converse. I pull my fingers through my tangled brown hair, but give up as I see the time.

School starts in twenty minutes, I better get a move on.

I grab my new bag and sling it over my shoulder. I run down the stairs and towards the door, leaving the empty house unlocked incase my parents decide to show up, knowing they wont have a key.

I start my short walk to school, shoving earbuds into my ear. One of my favorite songs comes on, I Miss You by Blink-182.

When I make it to school, I put my phone away and pull out the schedule I received in the mail days before.

My first class was math, my worst subject.

It was on the third floor, which had me breathing heavily once I reached the top. I find room 503 and enter. Only two other kids have arrived, since it was still a bit early.

"Hello, name?" A young, red haired woman asks. She was very petite and had big glasses in front of her large green eyes.

"Um Claire Avery." She scans the list, and nods when she finds it.

She looks back up at me and smiles.

"Okay! Take a seat anywhere." I nod and just sit in a seat towards the back. I dont recognize the two kids already here.

They were both girls, and they were really pretty. They had matching beach blonde hair and blue eyes, but they definitely werent twins.

"Hello, name?" I hear the teacher ask another student. I look up to see the one person I didnt want to see.

Matthew Johnson.

He was a jock, a ladies man, a bully.

My bully.

"Take a seat anywhere." He makes his way to a seat in the front. Im surprised he doesnt even look at me.

Im sure he'll taunt me later.

After a few minutes, most of the class is here. Mostly just ordinary kids I dont specifically like or hate.

"Okay, class, listen up!" Our attention is averted to the teacher. She had a big, genuine smile on her face. "We have a few new students this year... Exchange students." I was expecting a few kids to walk in speaking a different language or something. "Please be respectful to them and help them around." She says, just as the door opens.

Four boys walk in, and honestly, they were all really attractive.

There was one boy, with brown curls and big, hazel eyes. He had small dimples and a bandana around his forehead.

The second one had black hair, and tan skin. He seemed the most nervous, with an uneasy smile on his face.

Then there was a blonde haired boy, his hair in the style of a quiff. He had blue eyes, and dimples as well.

Lastly, was a boy with blue dyed hair. He seemed careless, not even a bit nervous. He had a big smirk plastered in his face, and an expression that read 'Im the bad boy'.

{Emmas POV- Present}

I found myself finishing the second journal entry, still confused.

I was pretty sure mom didnt write this. She doesnt have a brother named Ryan, and her parents arent abusive drunks.

Plus, from what she told me and Aidan, high school was the best time of her life.
