Chapter 9

Above- the engagement ring

"Nothing, talking about waitress... I want you to quit" I looked down at my ring, it wasn't the most beautiful ring but it suited my personality

"You what?" I asked calmly as I looked up at him

"I want you to quit your job as a waitress" I looked at him with disgust

"Then what should I do all day? Stay at home?"

"No, get a different job" he said as if it was obvious

"You want me, someone with no experience whatsoever to quit my job and get a different one" he nodded his head "oh, why don't I become a surgeon, I can save so many people's lives, that would be lovely"I said sarcastically

"That's such a good idea Kate, why don't you go to university?" He looked at me while driving

"LUKE we almost crashed" I yelped since we almost crashed into a blue mini van "why should I quit my job to make you happy?" I said the 'you' full of disgust

"Kate-" he started before I interrupted him

"Stop, stop talking, stop bossing me around, stop kissing me, stop making decisions without my concent, stop making me feel bad for something you decided, stop being nice, stop inviting my parents, stop driving... just stop the car!" I snapped

He stopped the car and I got out, I started to run, I wasn't far from my apartment so I knew where to run. I ran as if someone was chasing me, I was in six inch heels so I obviously didnt run fast but I felt a strong hand wrap around my wrist and pull me back, I bumped into a hard muscular chest and looked up at Luke.

"Kate stop it!" He yelled "you are so bossy" he took a deep breath and left my wrist "stop being bossy, stop telling me what to do, stop thinking this isn't forever because it is, we can't ever get divorced we are both trap, stop making me try without doing anything yourself, and stop thinking you are faster than me especially since you are in six inch heels" Luke said "now get in the car and let me drive you home"

"Let's walk" he just agreed and we walked leaving the car there

"Do you like the ring?"

"Shut up Luke, you're giving me a headache" I said

"Kate I'm going to Egypt for the rest of the week but when I get back we have to buy a house"

"Oh Kate don't you maybe want to join me on my lovely trip to Egypt" I said trying to mimic his voice

"Do you?"

"Been there done that" I said as we ealked further. I have been everywhere with my parents and I never really liked it because it was never family time, it was always business time for my parents.

"Ok, you are confusing Kate" he said as I took my shoes off so that I could walk comfortably. He took my shoes from me and gave me his blazer "I'm not being nice, don't worry" he said after I gave him a look "paparazzi behind us, don't look now though" I didn't look back but I took out my phone and opened the selfue camera, there were about 5 people with cameras and 3 without cameras behind us

"Great", I said as I leaned in to Luke "how long were they there?"

"I saw them when I spoke about Egypt" I looked at him

"This is gonna be a fun time, isn't it?" I asked sarcastically
We walked and spoke for a little while till we got to my house

"Should I walk you in?" Luke asked

"Sure, as long as you won't drink my wine or coffee" I said jokingly

We walked up the stairs and when we got to my apartment door he hugged me "ok well, I should go" he said before I passed him his jacket

"Luke" I stopped him "can I ask you something strange?"

"All your questions are strange"

"Haha" I said with a straight face "do i have a good- is my- how is my kiss?"

"I could live with it, it's better than most" I started to laugh "and mine?"

"There are pillows to fix your problem" he laughed

"Night Luke"

"Night" Daniel's door flew open "goodnight sweetheart" he said and quickly dissapeared

Hey guys, I know this is a short chapter and they are really nice to each other but I'm gonna try to change that in the next few chapters, I am trying to make them dislike each other, any suggestions??♡
