Chapter 15

Above- the house that Luke chose

I lied to you -Kate I was talking about when I saidx that I didn't love

When? -Luke

We need to talk -Kate

Let's talk in an hour, I found a house and I think it's perfect for us -Luke

You did? -Kate

Yes, I'll send you the address and we can meet up there? -Luke

Great idea -Kate

I hopped in the shower and put on a t-shirt and shorts, mascara and lipgloss.

I had 15 minutes left before I had to meet Luke so I got into my car and started going to the house.

When I arrived at the house I saw Luke standing next to his car looking at me "hi" he said

"It's huge Luke" I looked at the house

"What fo you think? The owner already approved our bond, now all we need to do is say that we want it"

"Yes, I want it" I said with my eyes still peeled on the house

He laughed "ok, let's go buy it" Luke grabbed my hand, his hand was as soft and warm as usual, we walked into the huge house, there was no furniture, just a tall blonde woman wearing highheels, a tulip skirt and a tight spaghetti shirt
"We'll buy it!"

"Ok," gave us a bag of keys "move in tomorrow" she said kindly

"When do we pay?" I asked

"I just did" Luke said putting his phone away which I didn't even know he had in his hand

"Welcome" the woman said and then walked out of the house

Luke dragged me to the pool on the other side of the hous and then he sat on the side of the pool with his feet in the water he patted his hand next to him "sit" he said

I did as he said and sat down next to him "this is our house" I said with shock, I almost didn't believe the words that came out of my mouth

"You lied Kate?" Luke asked ignoring what I had just said

"Yeah, Luke I lied when I said that I didn't love you" I didn't believe that I said it without any stress "I love you too Luke"

"What?" He looked into my eyes "Kate?" He gave a big smile "I thought you were going to give me bad news" he grabbed me into a hug "will you go out with me, Kate Isles?" He whispered in my ear

"Luke, we're engaged" I said holding back a laugh

"I know but it never felt real, now I want to go on a date with you, a real date where we talk, a normal date... you can even leave the ring at home!"

"Yes, I will go on a date with you Luke Adams"

Luke jumped up and I stood up, he lifted me on his back and walked out of the house, he placed me in his Ferrari and took my car keys, he walked to my Lamborghini and parked it in the garage, he then came and got into his car with me

"Where are we going?" I asked as I took off my engagement ring and put it in his cupholder

"We never got to finish our first date so we are going back to the restaurant where you through your salmon salad on me and finish our date, but this time it won't be as private as last time, this time there will also be other couples having dates"

I started to laugh "great, I can't wait"

When we arrived at the restaurant we got taken to a table
"Aren't we a little under dressed for this?" I asked him

"We are, but we are also unique" he said which made me laugh

"So, we have to plan a wedding" I said

"Kate," he put his hand on mine "let's not be engaged, just for this one night"

"Ok," I said as a couple walked up to us.

"Ms. Isles and Mr. Adams, we are huge fans, can we please take a picture with you?" The woman asked

Luke looked at me one last time before answering them "yes of course you can" Luke called the waitress and gave her the couple's phone, we were all smiling into the camera.

When the waitress walked away the couple thanked us "congratulations" Luke said

All three of us looked surprised "on what?" The man asked

"Your engagement" Luke said pointing at the ring on the woman's hand

"Thank you mr.Adams" they said before flashing him a smile and walking away

"You're very observant" I said when the couple was out of sight

"Didn't you see it? The way the woman stood, spoke, everything she was trying to show off her ring"

"You are one strange man Luke Adams" I smiled

Luke's P.O.V

She smiled at me, one of those gorgeous smiles that she gives, showing her teeth and her dimples, she looked really happy and I was relieved to be the one making her happy

"What are you going to eat?" The waitress asked but I couldn't stop looking at Kate, she was right in front of me, I had a huge crush on her in high school and now I am engaged to her. I kept looking at her thinking of how lucky I am to have HER fall in love with ME.

I felt something against my leg, Kate was kicking me trying to get my attention which she did. "Oh sorry, I'll have a salmon salad and my date will have a spaghetti Bolognese" I said ordering the same thing that we ordered last time.

"But you probably don't have spaghetti so I'll also have the salmon salad" Kate said making it the exact same as last time

The waitress walked away Kate opened her mouth to talk but closed it again

"Sorry, I wondered off for a second"

"Or two minutes, but it's fine" she said in a voice that made her sound really cute

"Kate, can I ask you something?"

"Sure"

"Why don't you like your parents?"

"What gave you that idea?" She asked

"Lily" she smiled, but this time it was a sad smile, not one that makes me happy.
