chapter 21

"so Chase, you look great! what is happening in your life?"

"uhm, well- I... uh..." he stared at me with a bright red face and i simply smiled at him encouraging him to continue his sentence

"you what?" Luke interrupted

"I live in uh- Australia now" he said

"was that really so hard to say?" Luke sounds like he is taking care of a long held grudge and i kicked him "ow! why did you do that"

"Love, would you mind getting me some wine?" I asked him telling him to leave with my eyes

Luke started walking away and i turned back to Chase "so, is there anyone special in your life?" I asked Chase

"no, I saw you and Luke on tv- are you engaged?" he asked me curiously

"yes, we are, I didn't know you saw us on tv, why didn't you say anything about it before?"

"I never liked Luke" he admitted "you deserve someone better"

"I already have the best guy in the world, if I look for someone better i will never find him, Chase- Luke has changed and i love him, please respect that" I said

"aww that's so cute" Luke was back and he wrapped his arms around my waist, handing me my wine

"see you around Kate, whenever Luke let's you talk to other guys" Chase said as  he walked away

"as childish as ever" Luke chuckled "so I'm the best?"

"you wish!"

after everyone left I looked at my phone for the first time in two days and i had too many messages to handle.

why are you in Australia?- dad
Kate answer me now- dad
kate i swear i will disown you, answer me- dad
Kate stop being an idiot- dad
kate i expect a message from you before tonight- dad
kate I will send my secuirity over there if you don't answer me- dad
send me Luke's number so that i can bother him- dad
kate this is the last message, please answer, love you- dad

Kate dear, your dad is freaking out -mom
please answer him immediately or I have to send the secuirity to fetch you- mom

hey, i heard you guys are in australia, when are you getting back, we need to talk -Austin

hi Kate it's Chistopher Black, i got your number from someone at the office, I would like to catch up -Christopher

what the hell??-Lily

dude, hottest guy ever asked for my number, didn't need you as a wing man after all-Jake

so i replied to the important ones

Christopher, hi, Luke and i are in Australia, I'm assuming you didn't see the news, will make plans when we get back -Kate

sorry Lil, what am i apologising for? -Kate

happy for you Jake! need to meet him, if he is important enough- Kate

after i replied to all the texts i went to my room and got into bed next to Luke.

"where were you?" he asked

"I was replying to texts, my dad and mom said that they are gonna send security, so if someone shows up to take me away don't be shocked" I said through a yawn

he turned to me "they wouldn't" he chuckled

"you don't know them like i do, even if it ruins their reputation, they'll still do it" I said

"well you're safe with me, love you too" Luke said

"...too?"

"yeah i am replying to earlier tonight" he said before he gave me a peck on the forehead and fell asleep

***two days later- the day Luke and Kate are leaving Australia***

"business class que is on the left hand side ma'am" a person who works at the airport told me

"thank you" I mumbled grumpily

Luke dissapeared on me an hour ago and I am literally alone on the airport, Luke went to buy me a hot chocolate but never returned.

*ten minutes later*

"ma'am the plane is leaving in five minutes, this is the last boarding call, if your fiancé doesn't show up in that time frame he isn't going to fly" the lady told me,

I wasn't worried about Luke until now, I called him a few times but got no answer

"ma'am, I don't know where your fiancé is at the moment but the plane has to fly now, are you on or off?" I looked at her for a while

"I'm off" I said with a sigh

"ok ma'am," she turned around "you can close the doors" she looked back at me "ma'am they are currently taking your bags off the aircraft, i hope things work out" I looked at her with a sad smile and then walked away.

my phone started to ring and i saw it was Lily "Lily?" i said hoplessly

"what the hell is going on, why is Luke leaving the airport withput you but with a group of guys in a suit?" Lily practically screeched

"what? where did you see that, when did you see that?" and then i saw about five cameras flashing in my face

"Look at the news, you two are all over it" Lily said but i just put down my phone and walked over to the paparazzi

"where is my fiancé?" I asked them firmly, they just pointed in a direction and I ran that way with a group of paparazzi following me

I exited the airport without my luggage, I only had my handbag with me

I turned back to the paparazzi "where? where? WHERE?" I yelled, It might seem like I'm over reacting but I literally went from mad to worried in seconds
"where is my fiancé?" I cried but when I looked at the paparazzi they were gone

my phone rang and it was -dad-

"dad?" I said angrily

"Kate, I have horrifying news, Luke was taken away by Abaltu industries security" abaltu industries is my dad's enemy "they are trying to kill our business by lokking for any secrets they can use"

"Dad, my fiancé was taken away by the enemy?"

"it seems so Kate" we stayed silent for a moment "The only thing we can do is wait" he said after a while

"dad, I don't know if i can do that" I said as i started to cry. my dad hung up

I called M.S and asked him to take me to a place I know I'll get help, I asked him to take me to Albatu headquarters which is incidentally in Australia

hey guys, I personally don't like this chapter very much, I don't like where the story is going, therefore I am going to make the cards fall into place in the next chapter. if you have any suggestions, queries or favoures to ask please let me know.
