DINA'S P.O.V

"So what's that mean, sweetheart, you're an artist now?" Mom combed my hair as I sat on the floor in my room and she was in my bed, having our mommy-girl time.

"Not necessarily called so, but yeah I've been performing in small group in London before. It was cool."

"We are too old to understand YouTube." Mom chuckled.

"Haha. You don't have to Mom. The thing is, they ask me to play a fest in November."

"And these groups..."

"Bands." I smiled. "Yes they are performing along, back to back."

"That's cool baby. Anything you want to do in life. Your Dad and I will always support you."

"Well... To say this is the only one I want to do in life would be a bit too early for now. But yes I love singing Mom. And it's cool that I get this chance to play my music to those who care to listen. Some local artists don't even have the same opportunity. I guess for now I'll just gonna take it and see it from there."

"You still like photography."

"I didn't go to school thousand miles away for a thing I don't like." I nodded. "Photography is part of me. It wouldn't go wasted, what I've had so far."

"That's my baby." Mom kissed my forehead. "Alright doll, you're too tired, I know. Get some sleep. Good night."

"Night, Mommy."

The light went off. Things remained untouchable like the last night I slept in this same bed before leaving. The pictures, the memories, that small bedside lamp full of color, white sheet and curtains, Mom managed it well. I was in my room again. Good night.

I woke up the following morning to a great smell from downstairs. Mom made breakfast. It was a routine again. We all had breakfast together before my parents went to the office, leaving me alone in this house. Alright. Let's find something to do.

"Dina? Hey, it's Steve." The guy who called me yesterday talking about fest, called again this morning.

"Hey Steve. What can I do for you?"

"A little confirmation though. Is it okay if we put you at around 4 to open?"

"I basically have no other schedule that day. So be my guest."

"Perfect. Uhm... Because we're still confused as how to manage the other 3 bands though. Because their managers still don't give me heads-up on details."

"Take your time. I'm all good."

"Alright cool, that's a good news. Hey, you're in town, right?"

"Uh-hm."

"Mind to take a walk with us today, touring the office?"

"That's awesome. But let's be honest, I don't much acknowledge the route to your office though."

"A ride will be arrived in a couple hours." He giggled. "I'll pick up."

"Nice. See you!"

"Bye!"

And miracle happened. It's too smooth. Haha. Just when I was about to find out what to do next in this lazy lonely life, a company came by. Awesome. Let's shower and get ready.

As I have told you, my hometown was hot. By hot I meant super hot. If I did the math, it would be almost 40 degrees in the afternoon. And thanks to global warming, it gets hotter every month. So I decided to wear simple floral dress and thin silk cardigan. Steve arrived exactly in two hours.
