DINA'S P.O.V
And yes it happened, what I was scared of.
Steve was in his car and he led the bus driver's way back to his office, as I was locked in the bus among all very excited dudes who currently were singing and playing guitar. I was a little bit tortured here. Because first, I heard what Riley said to us back in restaurant earlier this morning. Something told me he's found out what's happening between me and Connor. Yeah of course, they shared hotel bedroom. And second, Connor couldn't stop locking his eyes on me since first step he walked into the bus. He might be playing guitar with the brothers but eyes don't lie.
"Hey."
Guess who just approached me.
"Oh hey." I fixed my position.
"Why sitting in the back? Come join us."
"I feel pretty good right now. Is it okay?"
"Well okay then, not gonna force you." Connor pushed his body toward me and kissed my forehead dearly. "You're tired."
"I probably am."
"Just take a nap. I'll let you know when Steve's here or something."
"No..."
"Ssh, it's okay."
This time, the move was getting bolder. He sat next to me, wrapped my waist, and put my head on the crock of his neck. It was awkward. The guys were staring at us and smiling. I felt uncomfortable. But I couldn't deny anymore. He's about to leave in some hours.
"Con..."
"Hmm?"
"Can I ask you something?"
"Sure."
I cleared my throat. "Do you think this could work between us?"
He stopped humming in my ear and instead intertwined our fingers. "I don't know about you, but I'm ready to find out."
"I'm scared."
"Of what?"
"Of hurting you, and myself."
"If that doesn't hurt, it's not called love. I think I love you Dina. And for that, I'm willing to try, and have my heart broken because of that."
"Okay." I ended the conversation. Completely had no idea why even I asked that.
Connor didn't bother to check how we stopped talking. It's just like that. The more we wanted to talk to each other, the more we kept it inside because didn't want to waste no moment.
I would never be ready to see him walking through that departure gate later this afternoon.
Steve joined us in the bus few minutes later. The first person he looked for was me. Riley pointed at the back seats because yes I was here. I lazily waved. He nodded knowing Connor's gesture told everybody to leave us alone like this til further move.
We arrived. It's on time, as scheduled. I hopped out first than anybody else and ran to the security station to get the cruise ready. Thankfully the people at this port were really helpful. They understood that these were celebrities that I was coming with.
