DINA'S P.O.V

This morning I woke up to another gloomy but better feeling. I could smile to some neighbors when watering Mom's roses, at least. It's been a week since Connor's gone. It's been a week since I passed out at the beach with Steve that night.

"Dina? Your phone's ringing!" Mom yelled from inside.

I ran fast. Hope it's Connor. Yes, he hasn't even called or texted since.

"Who?"

"I don't know. International code." She walked over to continue where I left off.

The phone in my hands was still beeping. Uncontrolled breath rhythm. I wish it was a happy nervousity. But no, I recognized this code. It's England's.

"Hello?"

"Hello. Good..., uh..." The woman across the line cleared her throat. I could tell she needed time to do the math of timezone.

"Good morning to you Ma'am. Afternoon here from Indonesia." I cut the awkward silence.

"Right. My apologize." Her thick accent made me smile. I probably also spoke with more than half of her thickness.

"It's alright. What can I help you?"

"Dina Sapitri, am I correct? Hi I'm Brianne, or just Bree it's okay, from student center."

"Wow okay Miss Bree, is there something?" I sat carefully. Thought it was too early to receive a call from college.

"Yes, actually, there is. Your certificate and transcript has done reviewed. We expect you to come and get it very soon."

"Ah... Shouldn't I get it by email? Because honestly Ma'am I didn't think it would be this early. It's only like two months since my arrival in Jakarta."

"I'm afraid there's no better time than now. Next year we will have general procedures for new students, as you might have known. The time limit for graduates to sign the paper and get their documents will be no longer than before Christmas."

"Oh gosh. Christmas." I whispered. "No other way Miss Bree? I'm so sorry I just..."

"Unfortunately no, I'm sorry."

"Sure. Let me handle it. Thank you so much for calling me."

"Not a problem Dina. Could you please send me the flight itenerary once you booked it? I'll notice you first."

"Absolutely." I ended the call. "Thank you Ma'am, have a nice day."

I saw Mom's back from this distance. To me, it's not that hard to go to London again just because I've known probably enough details of that big city and some other small towns around to make a live. But it's at the same time not easy to leave my parents when they only had me around for couple months. And though we didn't always meet, I enjoyed Steve's presence very much. Everything would be much harder to left behind because it's different than my first time, years ago.

"Mom, can I talk to you?"

"Hey honey, sure. Have the phone call done?"

"Yes."

"Ah, don't do that to me. What's it Dina? Who's calling?"

"You're not gonna love it."

"Try me."

"Campus." I froze for five seconds to see her reaction. "It's the staff who called me."
