Ava's P.O.V

I stood under the pregnant grey clouds surrounded by a sea of black. The angry wind whipped around nipping at my exposed flesh. Muffled cries echoed throughout the crowd of bodies all eyes looking on as the shiny black box was being slowly lowered into the earth. My eyes lazily bounced around the crowd settling on a very familiar face. Gia.

Just like the rest of us she stood looking closely as they lowered the body of Mr. Brent Johnson into the rectangular hole. Unlike most of the people who looked on he wasn't just anybody to her but he was the father of her child, lover and her future husband. He was her world and she his, but now he was gone leaving her behind to tend to the needs of their four year old daughter alone.Tears rapidly ran down her reddened cheeks smearing her makeup. Her shoulders violently shook as she cradled her exposed arms against the cool October breeze.

My stomach knotted uncomfortably just thinking about the emotional pain she was feeling. I knew how it felt to loose a loved one, although all the loved ones I lost weren't dead I guess it would be similar to what she felt now that she lost the man she loved. Yet unlike Gia I knew that I was okay with loosing them because I had him. Bentley never left my side and was always there when I needed him which I am eternally grateful for but in Gia's case she now had nobody other than her daughter.

Steeping off the temporary wooden platform I stood on my heal cladded feet sunk into the moist mud as I tried to make my way over to a crying Gia. That is before familiar arms snaked  around my waist pulling me back molding my body firmly to his. "Stay here." He whispered into my ear which caused a pleasurable jolt to run throughout my body. "I'm glad you made it." I said pointedly lightly resting my hands in his where they rested on my waist. "Don't tempt me Ava I only came here because you threatened me." He whispered kissing my cheek lightly.

I couldn't quite rap my mind around the fact that Bentley didn't want to attend his father's funeral. He didn't seem to be fazed by the fact that his father- the man who helped form him was dead. I knew somewhere deep down it affected him so naturally I tried to comfort him which of course he rejected. Claiming that he was perfectly fine and he acted so too which made it all believable. I had to threaten him that I'd key his favorite car just to get him to attend the funeral which took me almost three days to do before I came up with the idea out of pure frustration. Call me crazy but I refuse to believe that Bentley thought that a car was more valuable than his father even in death. Although all the facts were telling me otherwise.

"You're so cold." I muttered turning my attention back to where it was before. A bit revealed that someone was now comforting Gia seeing that my husband decided that I shouldn't move. "Actually I'm very hot. For you, you look stunning in your little black dress Mrs. Johnson." He whispered seductively which caused my cheeks to heat up. "You're disgusting." I muttered attempting to get free from his embrace which only tightened around my waist. "Only for you and you know you want me. Nobody's  going to miss us." He whispered nipping lightly at the sensitive skin of my neck which caused me to roll my eyes in disgust.

"This is a funeral Bentley so stop it and have at least some type of respect for the dead." I said slapping him on his chest before ripping my body away from his the cold air instantly seeping through the material of my coat. "I'm sorry baby." He said softly before straightening his posture which allowed my eyes to greedily drink up his appearance. From his neatly combed blonde hair to his black Armani suit which fit his muscular six foot frame perfectly. "Ava this is a funeral so let's have some respect for the dead. Please stop eye raping me." He said lowly mocking me a sly smirk tugging at his pink lips which caused me to quickly avert my wondering brown orbs when an unfamiliar voice rang.

"On behalf of the family of Mr. Johnson I want to thank all of you for coming to celebrate the life of him with us today. My uncle was a good man who gave to anyone in need and worked hard in hopes of improving the world as we know it. He built an empire with his bear hands, blood, sweat and tears with the help of my aunt Haile. Their love was something I've always admired...," a tall lanky blonde spoke moving so he stood next to the priest as they covered the hole with dirt. I knew the only reason he was speaking was because they couldn't get Bentley to say anything- positive about his father so I guess they settled for whoever he was."Who's that?" I asked Bentley who's jaw automatically tightened when he heard the stranger talk about his mother. Obviously he was Bentley's cousin but he never spoke about any of his family members so I took full advantage of this opportunity.
