Ava's P.O.V
I laid silently listening to the melodic thump of his heartbeat as his fingers ran through my damp curls. My tense body relaxing further when his warm lips molded against my forehead. "Baby." He mumbled causing me to turn so I was now looking into his darkened blue orbs. "Mhh." I hummed knowing fully well what he was going to say. "I know that what she did was wrong but you should talk to her before she leaves you'll regret it if you don't." He said softly his fingers falling still in my hair his other hand moving so it gently caressed my cheek.
I knew that he was right it was just that no matter how hard I tried I couldn't bare the thought of looking at her in the face after what she'd done. Perfectly orchestrating a class A performance of disaster for all to see she not only made town's history but had successfully talked her way out of a life long friendship. "I promise you that I'll go see her tomorrow." I promised hopefully convincingly enough that he'd leave me alone as I moved so I now straddled him. "Ava." He groaned causing me to smirk against his lips. "Ava-Marie we...""Bentley we're...oh." Ky literally screamed barging into our room his face now holding a dumb smirk. "I'm sorry for interrupting but yah know you guys have a lot of time to work on my other God child." He said giving a lazy shrug at the end of his ridiculous explanation as to why in the world he was standing in our bedroom dressed in his soiled tux from earlier.
"Ky please get out we'll be down in a sec." Bentley ordered before turning to look at me. "She's downstairs isn't she?" I asked even though I already knew the answer judging by the stupid look on Bentley's face. "Ava they're leaving tonight just let her explain herself. At least hear her out." He begged planting soft kisses against my skin between every word. Although Bentley's words did have some truth to it I'd sat down with Stacey merely nine hours earlier intently listening to my best friend explain what I thought earlier to be the effects of cold feet and her server hang over or maybe slightly drunken state from the night before.

Flashback
Pressing further into the plush cushions of the chair which supported my body I prepared myself for the incoming impact. My brown eyes suspiciously bouncing between my husband's face which held a knowing smirk and a familiar pale faced woman who's reddened cheeks were stained with her mascara's finger prints painted by her tears. A thick silence hung over us as I waited for an explanation as to why Stacey was standing in front of me in this state on her wedding day.
The one day I've had to hear about for the past six months and how perfect she wanted it to be yet here she is on the day a silent shaking mess. Her blonde hair which once fell past her shoulders in delicate curls now laid fuzzed out pointing in every which way. Her emerald eyes fixed ahead onto nothing in particular before the words finally left her lips. Words I of course was not expecting to hear especially not today or ever for a matter of fact. "I can't love him." She mumbled blinking slowly before throwing her body onto a chair adjacent from mine.
"My heart belongs to someone else Ava-Marie and I can't marry James knowing for a fact that my heart isn't there." She explained her words causing Bentley's smirk to widen a bit but fell once he felt my glare. "Are you drunk?" I asked completely confused as to how she could've gone from head over heals one day to the run away bride the next. "No I'm not but I guess after last night I realized that I couldn't keep pushing aside my feelings for the person." She explained earning herself a slow nod from me even though my mind was reeling from the new information.

End of flashback
Yet as quickly as her confession left her mouth she took it all back after receiving a text from the man she was supposed to get married to. She swore that she, like any other bride was just having second thoughts about the life long commitment she was about to make and being the naive fool I am I believed her. I believed her because I saw the way James looked at her and knew that he loved her with all of his heart and would cherish her for all of his days. She looked happy and contented whenever she was with him and so I foolishly pushed aside her earlier confession only to regret it later.
