I woke up Wednesday morning. Yesterday had no surprises. I didn't run into Jasper or Sasha. I prayed this would happen again today but knew I had to face them eventually. I quickly took a shower and changed into some jeans and a tee. Leaving my hair down, I went downstairs, only to see the love of my life. Bacon. I squealed in delight and grabbed a plate, filling it high with meaty goodness. My father chuckled at my enthusiasm and I stuck my tongue out at him like the mature person I am. Taking a seat at the table with my family an idea came to mind.

"Hey, mom, dad, do you know anybody with the last name Kirk?" I asked, remembering I wanted to see why my math teacher hated me so much. Their faces turned to ones of thought before their eyes lit up in amusement and mom giggled.

"Mandy Kirk?" Mom laughed.

"Yeah, I think that's her name. She's my math teacher and hates me. Care to explain why?" I interrogated, feeling more like the parent.

"Well..." Dad started, but mom cut him off,

"She tried to make me believe that your dad was cheating on me and I kinda slapped her." She said nonchalantly.

I looked at her incredulously, "Mom! You hate violence!" I scolded.

She shrugged, "She was a bitch."

I shook my head slightly and stood up. "Well, I gotta go to school." I said, grabbing my keys and bag and walking out the door.

On my way to school I couldn't stop my mind from drifting off to Liam. After we kissed we just sat and watched a countless amount of horror movies.Unlike most people, they didn't scare me at all. I laughed a little at that, my mom was terrified of them! Still my mind kept replaying that moment where his lips met mine. I didn't know if this meant he liked me or not. Truth be told, I couldn't decipher my feelings for him  either and it was confusing as hell. He was one of my best friends, I didn't want a relationship to come in between us. Though I couldn't deny the giddy feeling I got when he kissed me.

I pulled into an empty parking space in surprise, I completely spaced the ride here, thank god I didn't get in an accident. Jumping out of my beat up pick-up truck, I walked over to where my friends were. Or tried, I stopped in my tracks as I heard Sasha's annoying voice.

"Hey slut!" She called out, causing a few snickers to erupt from her 'groupies.'

I sighed, then planted a smirk on my face, casually turning around I let out a sarcastic laugh. "I'm sorry, I think you've got us mixed up. You see, I don't beg for anything that breaths to sleep with me, unlike you." I shot at her, she glared at me and opened her mouth to talk. I stuck my hand up, effectively stopping her. "Look, I don't feel like popping my ear drums from your bitchy voice today, so if you'd excuse me." Without waiting for a response, I spun on my heel and walked over to my friends successfully this time. They were all laughing at the pissy expression painted on Sasha's make-up covered face.

I let a triumphant smile to slip onto my face, it didn't as I looked over to the left of Harmony's giggling form. There, under the old oak, was Jasper. The smile turned into a scowl as I turned away from his penetrating gaze, trying to ignore his eyes on me. I started to squirm uncomfortably under his gaze. It was like someone lighted a fire on my body wherever he looked. Liam gave me a questioning look but I shrugged it off. Instead, I switched my attention to Jasper, meeting his gaze and raising an eyebrow in annoyance. He didn't do anything, just continued to stare. I felt anger and annoyance bubble inside me but masked it as I strode over to where he was sat.

"What do you want?"I snapped, getting straight to the point. He shrugged. There was no way he was going to act normal after he insulted me like that.

"Obviously there was if you were staring at me. So let me say it a little slower. What. Do. You. Want." I pronounced the last words slowly and clearly, like I was talking to a child. I knew this would get to him. I was right, I saw anger ignite in his eyes.

"Nothing, I was just trying to see what the whore's next move was." He said coldly.

I'll admit, his words did sting, but I wasn't going to show him that. I flashed him a cruel smirk. "Then shouldn't you be watching Sasha?" I asked, calmly.

He opened his mouth about to respond but was cut off from a voice behind me. "What's going on?" Liam asked angrily, glaring at Jasper.

Jasper showed the smirk I flashed a minute before. "Nothing." He replied, not faltering for a second under Liam's murderous gaze. Liam wrapped his arm around my waist and directed me elsewhere. "Let's go."  He said calmly, though his tensed frame said otherwise. He walked over to an area where no one else was.

"What was that all about?" He asked, underlying anger still lacing his tone.

"Nothing." I replied carelessly. He scoffed,

"Nothing! Oh come on!"

"Look, you already know the story so drop it." I snapped. I didn't realize someone else was standing there until I heard their voice.

"Ooh someone's having some relationship issues." Jasper sniggered. I didn't think twice as I spun around and my fist connected with his face. "Fuck. You." I spat, then walked away.

OMG IT'S SO SHORT! I'm really sorry guys! I'm going to try to keep up with my regular updates but I wanted you to be able to read something! Thanks for being patient!!!

DARE: I dare you to... Go up behind someone and whisper "She's coming for you." Then wave your arms in front of you, make a hissing sound and slowly back away.
