About two hours later I was finally getting ready for the date with Jasper. The asshat wouldn't tell me where we were going or anything so I just decided on a pair of black skinny jeans and a light blue blouse. I quickly brushed my teeth and put light curls in my hair before sweeping some mascara over my eyelashes.Grabbing a pair of black converse, I slipped them on and grabbed my phone, putting in in my back pocket. I looked myself over in the mirror briefly before going down stairs.
"Finally." Jasper teased as he heard me come down the stairs.
He turned the corner and froze. I frowned at him and jumped off the last step.
"What?" I asked, dragging my hand on my face, "is there something on my face?"
He shook his head and smiled, "You look really pretty." He said nonchalantly.
"Not looking too bad yourself." I laughed. He had a simple black fitted shirt with black jeans. His hair was in it's usual tousled state and his eyes were shining.
Suddenly, he grabbed my hips and pulled me towards him, "see something you like, sweetheart?"
His voice was husky but at the same time as smooth as silk.
Rolling my eyes I pushed him away from me.
"Let's go."
He laughed and took my hand in his.
"Pushy, pushy." he mumbled, casting me a grin before pulling me toward the door.
"Are we there yet?" I whined
He stopped and looked at me for a second before continuing to walk, "we literally just stepped outside!"
I shrugged and let him pull me along.
****
He led me up to the top of a hill about fifteen minutes away from my house. There was a blanket laid on the grass that he led me to. I hesitantly sat down and looked at him quizzically.
"So..we're just gonna.. sit here?" I questioned
Jasper sat down beside me and lightly shook his head. "just give it a minute" he said before cocking his head to the view in front of us.
I turned my head and saw the sun slowly starting its descent. A small smile slid onto my face as I put my hands behind me and leaned back. I felt an arm wrap around my shoulder and leaned into the embrace.
"It's beautiful." I whispered faintly, as if I was afraid speaking any louder could somehow break the beauty this moment held.
"You're beautiful."
I laughed, "you're cheesy."
Jasper chuckled and shrugged but didn't deny or accept my accusation.
We sat and watched the sky turn from blue, to red and orange and yellow, then slowly fade into purple until it was finally swallowed up by a deep shade of black.
"It's insane," Jasper started, "how quickly things can change and how fast things can leave or fade away."
He paused and licked his lips before looking at me, "and it's scary, how you never know how long you'll have something."
My breath hitched, the look in his eyes was smoldering.
"I know I'm not the best person Sam, but I care about you more than anyone else does. You've completely changed my life around and I couldn't thank you enough for being there when no one else was."
I took his hand in mine and squeezed it gently, giving him a small smile.
"You underestimate yourself Jas." I took a deep breath and mustered up the courage for the next words.
"I love you, Im completely head over heals in love with you. You have me wrapped around your finger and it's the most terrifying yet amazing thing that's ever happened to me."
His eyes widened slightly and my face flushed at the silence that met my confession. It was too soon, he didn't feel the same way. I should have expected this but it still hurt.
I clear my throat and look away, laughing uneasily.
"You don't have to say anything. I get it, I creeped you out. Sorry."
I winced when my voice broke at the end and coughed again.
"Sam.." he started but stopped, opening and closing his mouth several times.
I shook my head and went to stand up but Jasper grabbed on my arm and pulled me back down. He straddled my legs and pinned my arms above my head.
"I'm not good at any of this stuff Sam. Damn, whenever something good happens I manage to screw it up."
He sighed and leaned his forehead against mine.
"I love you Samantha Greene, and I'm never letting you go."
His green eyes shone brightly, seeming to see right through me.
My lips curved upwards slightly as I pressed them to his. His hands released my wrists and cupped my face as he smiled against my lips.
There were only three words floating through my mind; best date ever.

I've been crazy busy and have had no motivation to write. I stopped writing this when it was at 2 1/2 thousand reads and come back and it's past 4 thousand. Thank you guys so much. I love you <3 <3 <3
