I skidded to a stop and collided into Jasper's back as he continued to talk with my mother. I got there just in time to hear her say the worst words I've ever heard;
"Of course I'll show you the baby pictures! She was so adorable, wait until you see the ones of her being potty trained!"
They walked back off to the living room to find the album as I stood frozen in shock. Jasper sot me a look over his shoulder and smirked. This made me jump and quickly follow after them, but it was too late. My mom already had the pictures scattered on the floor. She pointed to one on the far left,
"See, this is my favorite," She laughed and I felt my eyes widen in horror, "we heard her in the bathroom clapping, I remember her shouting that she used the potty. I ran in there, excited, only to see the toilet empty and my daughter no where to be found. That was until I turned around and looked into the bathtub. There she was, sitting there with a big smile as she pointed to the little brown spot next to her."
By now, Jasper was in hysterics as I hung my head in embarrassment.
"Really mom." I muttered as I shook my head.
"Awe, come on Sam, you were so cute." He cooed dramatically causing me to roll my eyes.
My mom chuckled and patted the spot in between her and Jasper. I hesitantly sat down and picked up some pictures. Almost immediately I burst out laughing as memories flooded back into my mind. Jasper looked at me like I had two heads before casting a glance at the picture in my hands. He smirked and covered his mouth to no doubt hold in a laugh.
The picture was of my brother when he was eight, making me six. I remember my mom forcing him to play dress up with me. I put him into a fluffy pink dress that was two sizes smaller than him. I also put bright yellow eye shadow and dark red lipstick on him.
"Woooow." Jasper whistles.
"Whatcha guys doing?" Jason asks as him and Lora walk through the door. My mouth flops open as Jasper replies.
"I never took you as a cross dresser. I mean, it's fine, I believe in equal rights."
Jason glared at Jasper and marched over to us.
"What do you mea- MOM YOU SAID YOU THREW THIS AWAY!"
My mom simply laughed, "Memories Jay, never dispose of memories."
"I'm so showing this at your graduation party." I said.
"You wouldn't." Jay said in disbelief.
"Oh, but I would." I grinned and stood up.
"Give it to me."
I pretended to think about it, "You know, I think I'll pass."
"Samantha..." He ground out.
"Jason..." I teased. He jumped forward and tried to get it from me but I stepped back. Turning around, I sprinted out of the living room, hearing heavy footsteps behind me.
"You better run" Jason yelled as he chased me out of the front door and down the street.
I might be fit and a fast runner, but I was no match for a quarterback. He went to tackle me but I dodged left, barely escaping him.
By now, all of our neighbors have come out to see what all the commotion was. They started laughing as the saw what was happening. MY brother attempted to tackle me again, I knew it was over as my legs ached and lungs burned. I was just about to give up when I heard a groan from behind me. I whipped around to see my brother flattened under Jasper.
I looked at him incredulously and he simply shrugged.
"What the hell man." My brother shoved Jasper off of him and winced as he sat up.
"What happened to 'bro's before hoe's'?" Jason asked as he glared at the smirking guy in front of him.
"I don't hump and dump." Jasper teased, winking at me.
My mouth dropped open and I instinctively yelled out the first thing in my mind, "VIRGINITY THOU STILL POSSESES!"
Jason and Jasper both gave me the strangest looks before breaking down in fits of laughter. I felt my face heat up and I groaned in embarrassment, this was worse then the fish, much worse.
"Yes Yoda," Jason bowed mockingly before he started laughing again. I swiftly kicked him in the shin,
"Shut up."
"OW!" He screamed and started rubbing his shin.
"Woo, go Sam!" A familiar voice shouted, catching my attention. I looked to my left to see Liam with a smile on his face. I shyly smiled back before realizing we weren't on speaking terms. I diverted my attention to the ground and started walking the other way, leaving my confused brother and Jasper.
"Sam!" A voice yelled from behind me making me speed up. A hand gently grabbed my arm, bringing me to a stop. I sighed and turned around slowly, coming face to face wit someone I really didn't want to talk to.
"I'm sorry," He breathed out, " I was being stupid, I'm sorry."
I took my arm out of his grasp and crossed them over my chest, "You're supposed to be my best friend why can't you trust me and my decisions?"
Liam rubbed his hand over his face and let out a groan, his eyes went over my shoulder, locking with something. Before I could turn around, he stepped closer and cupped my face in his hands. I froze.
"I like you, a lot, I don't like him near you." He whispered.
I had no time to react before his lips came down on mine.
There was a bitter laugh behind me and I felt Liam smile in satisfaction. His lips parted from my still frozen ones as I stood there in shock. I knew he liked me a little but I wasn't expecting him to kiss me. I turned around just in time to see Jasper's retreating back.
