“Do you two wanna come round mine after this?” Maddie said, her head resting on the desk as our teacher was writing on the board. “Yeah why not, I got news to tell you!” Ashleigh said. Maddie bolted up, looking more awake than ever. “What what what?” She pestered. I glanced back over my shoulder at Luke who had his full attention on the board. I smiled at him being in his own world, but then his eyes fixed on me with a smirk appearing behind his hands which were resting under his nose. I quickly turned away, shutting my eyes as I felt my cheeks burn up. “Codie, the answer please!” The teacher said, raising his eyebrows in a disapproving manner. I read the equation and knew the answer straight away, “CuSO4”. The teacher smiled and wrote the answer on the board. I turned back smiling at Luke who quietly clapped. Ashleigh yanked on my arm. “Tell Maddie to piss off and leave me alone!” “Just tell me who it’s about at least!” Maddie pleaded. “Fine… Ben!” “Ben, as in Jason’s friend?” Maddie asked as she sat back. “But he’s an idiot!” I said. Ashleigh grew irritated. “Forget I said anything!” That’s when the bell ran for the end of the lesson. Maddie and Ashleigh stormed out bickering at each other. As I walked through the door Luke was behind me. “I must be a really good teacher!” I laughed. “What do you think?” He went ahead of me and did a strange pose. “Am I teacher material?” I shook my head. “You’re not ugly!” Luke dropped his arms and smiled. “What’s that supposed to mean?” “I…” “Codie! Come on!” Ashleigh shouted from a short distance. “Gotta go!” i said quickly. “Wait, your homework!” He handed me a pice of paper. “I may not be teacher material but I want to help you!” He said. “Codie!” I waved before running of to join the girls. I walked slightly behind them and opened the folded piece of paper. It was a phone number. I swung round and glared at Luke who was still stood where I left him. He stretched his arm out in the air and waved.
