"So are you and Luke going out now?" Ashleigh sighed, not really sounding that interested. For the first time in a couple of weeks I was hanging out with the usuals. "No wh-" "She's out with me!" Jason said. I stood up, pushing him back. "I'm tired of you always cutting me off and we're not going out. I won't make the same mistake Rachel did by dating your brother. "Codie!" I heard Maddie cry as I hurried away. She grabbed me by the shoulders and span me round so I was facing her. "Luke asked me to give you this" She handed me a piece of paper. "His mum and my mum are friends so... he came by and told me to give this to you!" I hugged her before she ran back to the others. I expected a romantic letter telling me the time and place of a date but instead if was information for a little concert just for the kids back home. I smiled at the lovely offer but I couldn't help but feel disappointed. I hadn't spoken to Luke since we kissed, and for once I felt awkward. I got a text from Lisa tleling me that she would meet me outside the apartment, which was a few blocks away. I was turning 18 soon and at 18 you need to find a place of your own if you live in a children's home and Lisa said she would help me find a place. None of the kids knew about me leaving and to be honest I had pushed it to the back of my mind. "Ready?" Lisa asked as we steed outside the aparment. I nodded before we walked in. 
"So what's with this boy who keeps waiting outside?" Lisa asked in the car journey home. "Just some idiot who can't take any hints" "He looks familiar" "He's the brother of that boy Rachel dated for a while" "Oh well then.. you Can do much better. And by the sounds of it you already have" I darted my eyes at her, she had a similar smile to Luke's mum. "I heard you young lady, telling the girls stories of Prince Charming" "But..." "Don't tell me that they're not real! I could tell by the way you spoke that the stories were true." I sat in silence, wellowing in embarrassment. "So... Anything happening there?" "I..I don't know, I mean we kissed but we haven't spoken since, he propbably hates me" "Don't be silly, you just took the boys breath away!" Lisa teased. We reached home but Lisa wouldn't go into the drive way. "What's wrong?" "Nothing Rapunzel, your Prince is sitting in the drive way that's all" I looked over to see Luke sat crossed legged in the drivey way. He was wearing a denim shirt and a black beanie, with skinny jeans. "Damn he has great legs!" Lisa said which made me laugh. "What do I do?" I asked. "Take him for a walk, hold his hand and tell him how you feel. Because this... Is something special" I climbed out of the car and ran over to Luke, only to stop as soon as he looked up at me with red eyes and a tear stained face.
