I was walking out the front of school, it was the end of the school year meaning six weeks of doing nothing. I would have been dragged to shopping trips with Ashleigh and Maddie which I usually hated but I kind of wanted that as I hadn’t seen or heard from Luke in two weeks. My phone started ringing, I didn’t bother looking at the caller ID before answering. “Hello” I sighed. “Codie! How I’ve missed you…” The voice was muffled, so  I looked at the caller ID. “Where the hell have you been? Science has been dull, I even moved to sit next to you but you weren’t there. You said you would call and that was 2 weeks ago… Not a  bludy word. This isn’t fair Hemmings I thought we were friends…” It was silent for a few seconds. “Rant over?” “Rant over…” I sighed. “You look really cute when you’re angry” I frowned in confusion. “Look up, straight ahead.” I did and saw Luke waving with a huge smile on his face. I slowly made my way over to him. “So you missed me huh?” I wrapped my arms around him as he wrapped his round my shoulders. “Duh!” “I’m sorry, I didn’t think me going on tour would affect you so much. “You’re kidding? You’re my only friend, it basically ruined my life!” I joked. “Wait, tour?” Luke nodded. “We did a small tour round Australia.” “Was it good?” “Yeah was pretty cool!”
I smiled, not really knowing how to respond. Should I tell him that whilst he was off around Australia I was sat at home reading over old text messages from him, how I spent almost an hour every day waiting on the roof top or how I wrote double the amount of notes from Science so he didn’t miss anything, or how stupid I was becoming as I was starting to fall for him?
“Come on, time we celebrated your B in Science!” He took my hand and started walking back towards where I had just come from.I looked up at him for answers. “I want you to meet my family” He smiled.
