a/n: psats are tomorrow lol gr8 see y'all next week

this story is mostly prewritten, I've just been editing it over and over for each chapter, that's why it takes so long sometimes. other times it's just cause i am either lazy or nervous

Justin hummed for the entire ten minutes it took to get back to his house. He drummed on the dashboard with his hands, even after I asked him not to.

"All right, we're here. You can stop now." I had parked a few houses away to make sure his dad wouldn't know I was there. I put my antiquated, jade colored purse over my shoulder and walked to the other side of the car to get Justin's door.

"Thanks," Justin smiled cheekily at me and began to walk in the direction of his house.

"How're we gonna get past your dad?" I inquired quite curiously.

"Crap, I guess he is home tonight," Justin ran a hand through his hair and started jogging towards his backyard.

I struggled to keep up. Never had been a big athlete. Justin peaked into the family room window. He motioned for me to come towards him. I was grateful the nights were getting cooler. Justin sat down against the house. He motioned for me to get down.

"Okay, so here's the plan," I nodded and waved my hand for him to continue, "We're going to climb the patio and go through my window." He started to get up, but I yanked him back down.

"How's that gonna work? Where's your dad?"

"I'm gonna take one of the patio bar chairs and move it to where we can climb up. My dad is asleep on the couch." Justin got up and slowly walked over to under the patio. I was just happy the pool lights were off.

"Are you all right enough to climb?"

"Yeah," Justin stepped onto the chair and grabbed onto the edge of the roof on the flat patio. He paused for a few seconds, and then hauled himself completely onto the roof, "Your turn. Pass me your bag." I did as told and stepped onto the chair.

I grabbed the edge of the roof and paused. Within a few seconds, I knew that the roof was too high to push myself onto. I shot a glance of panic towards Justin.

"What's wrong? Do you need help?"

"Yeah," I reached out my hands towards him slowly. This entire situation made me seriously anxious.

Justin got on his knees and grabbed under my arms and started to lift me off of the chair. I immediately became nervous about my weight. His touch made me less worried about falling off the patio roof and busting my head open. I jumped up a little off of the chair and clung to Justin. He didn't seem to struggle that much because of my weight. I locked my arms around him and he finally got me up, but staggered backwards on his knees and fell over with me on top of him. Our eyes locked together in an awkward stare. I bit on my lip and Justin looked away.

"Sorry," I mumbled as I stood up.

Justin handed me back my bag as he opened the window to his bedroom. He gritted his teeth every time it made a sound.

"All right, it's open." Justin made an attempt to climb through gracefully, but landed on his face. He quickly got up and went over to lock his bedroom door and turn on a light.

"Brings back memories," I said as I stepped through the window into the dark room.

Justin began walking towards me. I backed up until my back was against the wall. I set my bag on the floor carefully. I took in his scent as his body was mere inches from mine. He held eye contact with me and grinned sheepishly as he shut the window next to us. He reached down for my bag and then sat down on the edge of his bed. He fished out the bottle of vodka from my purse and then sat down with it. I walked over and sat down next to him. I grabbed the bottle from him and took a small sip. I knew I couldn't stay long. I had to have the car back by seven so Mary and Jake could go to work.
