Chapter 5 : Telling Eachother

Liv stood there, he had flowers and wine. "El, what are you doing here?" He handed her the flowers and wine. "I just wanted to say i'm sorry for today" "It's okay El, come in." She walked to her kitchen putting the flowers in a vase and the wine in the fridge.

Liv stood in the kitchen pondering her thoughts. This was her time to tell him about everything. About the pregnancy, about them. But just how? She sighed. It was going to be harder than it actually was.

Elliot had looked at Liv, she looked like she was glowing. She looked more beautiful than ever, but he couldn't put his finger on it. Something was different. He sighed, he watched her walk into the kitchen, he took this time to reassure himself that he could do this.

He was going to get Liv back, if not as a lover than as a best friend. He was going to get her back. He needed her back.

Liv hadn't realized how long she was standing in the kitchen, she quickly walked out and noticed Elliot was standing in the same spot. She looked at him, he was in deep thought.

"El" he quickly looked up "Yeah?" She smiled "Come sit, I need to talk to you." He smiled small and they sat on the couch. They sat there, Liv absentmindedly rubbing her stomach.

Elliot looked at her. He saw her rubbing her stomach, his eyes widen. She's pregnant. This was why she needed to talk to him. Because she was pregnant...and probably together with the dad. He could feel the sadness rising in him. He lost her. She was probably happy with the father, she didn't need him. No one did.

Liv stopped rubbing her stomach and by the tell of Elliot's face, he had seen. She quietly spoke up "El...I love you." She whispered waiting for his reaction.

Did he just hear her right? Did she just say she loved him. His heart leaped, he was too excited he forgot to even say anything. Liv looked at him waiting for an answer. He held her hand slowly "I love you too." He whispered.

She let out a breath she didn't even know she was holding in. Elliot then looked at her stomach "But Liv we can't do this...your pregnant. Give the baby's dad a chance." Elliot got up "I'll see you at work."

Liv looked at him, she couldn't help but laugh. "El, I am giving the baby's dad a chance." He stood there, did he just hear her right? He was the dad. Liv and him were having a baby! A grin broke out on his face. Liv stood up "El, this is our baby." She put his hands on her stomach. "Our baby" he smiled.

Liv smiled, she finally had him. She was with the love of her life and they were having a baby. Her life couldn't get any better.

Elliot smiled, his hands still on her stomach. He was having another baby. But not just his, Liv and his. He rubbed her stomach "I can't believe it." Liv smiled "I know, me either." Liv put her hand over his. Elliot looked at her, he wanted nothing else but to just kiss her.

Liv looked at him, she knew what he was thinking, she was thinking the same thing. She moved his hands and held his shoulders, she leaned in and captured his lips, she felt him place his hand on her back deepening the kiss.

She smiled against his lips, "I love you" she whispered. "I love you too." He smiled. "I have to pee" Liv giggled. He laughed "Go babe" he sat down on the couch.

She gave him a quick peck on the lips and went to the bathroom, she took this time to take in what just happened. She was pregnant, with Elliot. She couldn't believe it! Her life couldn't get any better. She touched her lips, she could get used to kissing him.

She rubbed her stomach, "Your daddy and I are finally together baby, I have waited 17 years for this baby. Now I finally have him, and soon enough i'll be holding you in my arms. Every night I promise to have some you and mommy time."

Elliot sat on her couch, barely able to hide his excitement. He couldn't stop smiling, and yet he didn't care. He was finally with the woman he loved, and having a baby. A little mixture of him and Liv. He hoped the baby would have be just like Liv. The world needed more people like her.

He smiled at the thought of a little toddler running around him and Liv, the nights they'd have, the mornings they'd wake up to a little kid staring at you. He couldn't help but think of his own kids.

Oh god, how would they react to this? Would they be happy, angry? How would Kathy act, she would be beyond pissed. She would accuse them of sleeping together during their marriage. He sighed, it wasn't going to be easy, he knew that the only person that would be excited and happy was Eli.

Elliot smiled at the thought of Eli, this little boy cheered him up so much. Eli was a little version of himself, except more cheerful and less hot head. He needed to ask Liv when she wanted to tell everyone before letting it slip out.

Liv emerged from the bathroom, she sat next to Elliot, he pulled her close and put his arm around her. "Babe, when do you want to tell everyone?" Liv sat there, she never thought of when she wanted to tell everyone.

But she knew it had to be soon, she noticed in the bathroom that she was had a little baby bump, and she knew she couldn't hide the morning sickness from everyone. She definitely needed to tell Cragen and make arrangements for when she had to go onto desk duty and when her maternity leave would be.

But would she be able to tell him that it was Elliot, she didn't want to be separated from Elliot as a partner. As selfish as it sounded she didn't want to be partnered with someone else. She let out a sigh "I don't know. Not yet." Elliot nodded "I get it baby." He kissed her head. Liv smiled then there was a knock.
