Chapter 18: Apologize

Once Liv went to the room Elliot glared at his two kids, he was beyond pissed at how they reacted. "Outside now!" he yelled. He walked out with them slamming the door. "What the hell kind of attitude was that?! You do not speak about or to Liv like that." he paced back and forth, his fists clenched tightly.

"I want you to go back in there and say sorry. Not just a sorry, I want you on your hands and knees saying sorry. What you said to her was unnecessary. Kathleen what you said crossed the line, Liv and I never once slept together while I was married to your mother. I wouldn't do that and Liv certainly wouldn't let me. Your mom divorced because we fell out of love." He stared at his two kids, his arms crossed.

"You hear me! I want you to apologize now!" he yelled, knowing that probably the whole neighborhood could hear him. They jumped by his voice "Okay." They whispered and walked in.

After Elliot had gone outside Eli slowly crept into their room. He climbed onto the bed "Mommy." he whispered. He laid face to face with her, he wiped her tears and hugged her "Mommy no crwy. Make me sad." He pouted. Liv couldn't help but smile "I'm sorry baby, mommy's just hurt a little." Eli rubbed her cheek.

"Where it hurt? I kiss it and make it better." Liv smiled "It's okay baby." Liv held him close and played with his blonde curls. "I love you mommy, and I love baby." He rubbed her stomach and put his head near it. "Baby you hear me?" He tapped her stomach lightly.

He felt the baby kick "Oooooh!! Mommy baby kicked my hand!!!" "That's because the baby's telling you that he or she can hear you!" He grinned and put his ear on her stomach "Talk to me baby." he pretended to have a conversation with her stomach. Liv watched him, she smiled.

She heard a light knock, "Who is it?" she yelled. "It's us." Liv sat up "Uh...come in." Eli sat in front of Liv, his arms crossed with a stern look on his face. Liv giggled, he looked so much like Elliot. Kathleen and Dickie walked in, they stood there. "Liv, we're sorry." Liv looked at them, she couldn't hold a grudge.

"It's okay. I get it...its all new to you, having someone with your dad that's not your mom. I get it." Liv tried her best not to look at them, she couldn't. She felt the bed shift when Eli got up, she looked at him. He had ran to his brother and sister and whispered something to them. Liv wondered what he had whispered, but she had gotten her answer when all three Stabler kids came and hugged her.

She smiled, Maureen and Lizzie at some point came in and joined the hug. All six of them were on the bed hugging, Liv couldn't help but tear up. Damn hormones. She wiped the few stray tears "I love you guys, even if you don't love me." she felt them hug her tighter "We love you."

Elliot had walked in after his kids, he had decided to give them time to themselves, he had apologized to everyone, they had all congratulated Liv and him. He was about to walk to the room when Casey and Alex had pulled him to the kitchen. "Jeez have you guys been lifting or something." he joked.

They laughed "Stabler it's time for some interrogating." "What?" "As Liv's best friend we have to interrogate you to see if your the one!" Elliot nodded "Ask away." "When did you first notice that you loved Liv?" "Mhm I would have to say the first day I met her...I just never really knew. I tried to hide my feelings because of my marriage. But as the years progressed my love for her grew more and more each day." "Aww!!" He smiled.

"Any more questions?" "Nope. But if you ever hurt her we will make sure you regret it. Got it Stabler?" he laughed "Got it." he walked to the room, he stood from the doorway and watched them. Maureen and Kathleen were beside her, Dickie and Lizzie in front of them and little Eli in her lap. He smiled at the sight, he walked in "Any room for me?" they laughed "I think we can squeeze you in." He smiled, he sat behind Liv and pulled her onto his lap.

He held his two oldest daughters while Liv held the twins. Eli cuddled with her belly and whispered sweet things to the baby. Liv smiled up at Elliot, she gave him a short and sweet kiss "I love you." she whispered. "I love you more." he whispered. Eli looked at them "Mommy daddy party still on?" "Yeah bud party's still going on." Eli grinned "Party time!!" He ran to the living room where everyone was.

They all laughed and got up, Eli was in the living room dancing, "Mommy come dance!" He held her hand and danced. She smiled and danced with him "Your a great dancer baby!" he grinned. He pulled Elliot to Liv "Dance with mommy." Elliot smiled "You got it buddy." He smiled and ran to everyone bringing them to the middle of the living room. Elliot had one arm around her waist, the other hand intertwined with her.

They swayed to the music, his blue eyes staring into her brown eyes. Never breaking contact. It was like they were the only ones there.

After a few hours the party started to dial down, one by one everyone left. Leaving Elliot, Liv, and the Stabler kids. Eli had insisted that they all had a sleepover, they had plan to all sleep out in the living room, watching Halloween movies all night, with snacks and pizza.

They had all settled down, Elliot and Liv cuddling on the couch, Eli leaning on Liv. The older Stabler girls on the couch, and the twins laying comfortably on the floor. Once the movie Eli had fallen asleep in Liv's arms. His head laying on her chest, his small body laying on Elliot. She had noticed Eli's arm draped around her stomach protectively like he was protecting the baby.

She smiled and played with his blonde curls. "I love you baby." she whispered. She heard him mumble, "Wuv you too." He puckered his lips for her to kiss. She smiled and pecked him on the lips. He smiled and went back to sleep. Elliot had watched the whole scene, loving every minute. He kissed her on the head "Your a great mommy." she looked at him and smiled.

She kissed him, a kiss with love, passion, a kiss that showed him how much she loved him. "I love you Stabler." she whispered against his lips. "I love you more Benson." He gave her a peck on the lips and cuddled with her. The rest of the night spent watching movies and having family bonding time.
