Chapter 10: What Do We Do?

Liv sat there for the longest time, what was she going to do? She didn't want to break up with Elliot, but she had to think about their jobs, his family, she looked down. Their baby. She couldn't live with herself if this got out. She'd be the precinct whore.

All she wanted to do was cry, and that's exactly what she did. She cried, why didn't anything go right in her life? Why did something always have to ruin it? She didn't care if there was a camera watching her right now, she needed to cry. She just wanted a normal life.

But of course she's Olivia Benson, nothing is normal in her life. She wiped her tears and looked at her phone. Elliot should be here soon, she got up and grabbed the disk and put it back in the package. She put it in her nightstand, she'd tell Elliot later, when they were getting ready for bed.

She got dressed into his NYPD shirt, and sweatpants, she didn't feel like making an effort on wearing something. She went into the kitchen and started making cookies for Eli, she had promised him she'd make him cookies the next time he came.

She smiled, she could imagine Eli running into the kitchen hugging her leg then grabbing a cookie. Times when Eli came over were her favorites, it always felt like it was the family she didn't have. But soon enough they'd have a baby in the house.

She rubbed her stomach "Soon mommy and daddy get to see you." She whispered and put the cookies in the oven. She stood there, she felt like she was forgetting something. Then she remembered she had to tell Cragen about the pregnancy and her and Elliot being together. She picked up her phone and called him. She was going to invite him to dinner, after 2 rings he picked up.

"Don Cragen, Special Victims Unit." Liv smiled, he was always so professional. Cap, it's Liv. I was wondering if you wanted to come over for dinner? Around 6." "Sure, is there a reason why you want me to come to dinner?" "Yeah, I have to tell you something." "Okay, i'll be there." she smiled. "Okay, bye." "Bye Liv." as she ended the call the oven went off indicating that the cookies were done.

She got them out and sat them on the counter. If she was going to have Cragen over she needed to change. She went to her closet, she decided on leggings and a blue sweater, it showed off her baby bump a little, but not too much. She clipped her hair back and curled it a little. She was just finishing up when she heard the front door slam open, the only person that did that was Eli, she smiled huge.

She heard him run around "Livvvvvvvie!!" he yelled. She walked out and he immediately ran to her legs and hugged her. She played with his hair "Hi buddy." he looked up and grinned "Hi Livvie! Did you make cookies?" She laughed "Yeah buddy I did. Their in the kitchen." He grinned "Thank you." He stepped on his tippy toes and puckered his lips. She bent down and he kissed her cheek and ran to the kitchen.

Liv smiled, she stood there and felt arms wrap around her waist. She smiled "Hi baby." She kissed his cheek. He smiled and rubbed her stomach "How's my babies doing." "We are doing perfectly fine." She smiled "Cragen's coming over tonight for dinner, we'll tell him about us during dinner." She felt Elliot nod against her shoulder.

He started kissing the spot behind her ear that drove her crazy. "Mmmm El...Eli's in the...oh god...other room." Liv turned in his arms "Later baby." He pretended to sigh "Okay." He smiled "I'm going to check the houses for camera. Eli says he has a gift for you." "For me?" "Yeah." He smiled. She smiled and went to the kitchen.

She looked and saw all the cookies were gone. She laughed "Eli?" "Here Livvie!" He poked his head from the living room. Liv smiled "Did you eat all the cookies?" "No?" He giggled. She smiled "I guess I found the new Cookie Monster!" She picked him up and tickled him.

He giggled "Livvvvvvvvvie! Stop it tickles!!" Liv smiled and stopped. He smiled and kissed her cheek "Livvie I made you something!" "Really? What is it?" Eli jumped out of her arms and ran to his little backpack. He pulled out a bracelet and a drawing.

"I made you a bracelet and a drawing!" He gave it to her. "It's a bracelet! It says mommy Livia! Then the drawing is of you and daddy, the baby and me!" He smiled showing all his teeth. She teared up, "Livvie, don't cry." she smiled through tears "I'm okay buddy, i'm just happy. I love all of it! Thank you!" She kissed his head.

He smiled "Livvie, can I call you mommy Livia?" Liv stood there stunned, she didn't know what to say, of course she would be okay with it, but would Kathy and Elliot? She didn't want to cause trouble. "Buddy, if your mommy and daddy say it's okay then you can. But if they don't like it then you just have to call me Livvie."

He nodded and ran to Elliot "Daddddddddy!" Elliot smiled "Yeah buddy?" "Can I call Livvie, mommy Livia? Please!" Elliot smiled "Yeah buddy, go ahead." He grinned and ran to Liv "Mommy Livia!" she smiled. "How about you help me cook dinner, it's spaghetti." "Oh cool!" He ran to the kitchen.

Liv was in the kitchen when Elliot had told her he didn't find any cameras. She sighed, if there was no cameras then that mean't the person was in the house again, and everything on those cameras could ruin their lives. She was standing in the kitchen taking it all in. She was brought out of her thoughts when Eli started eating the noodles.

She smiled and looked at the time "Fuc-fudge!" she caught herself before she swore in front of Eli. It was almost time and the food wasn't done yet. She quickly ran around the kitchen trying to make everything perfect. She had Elliot and Eli set the table and she came in holding the food, she soon had everything in place.

She was not ready for his reaction when they told him. She was tidying everything up when she heard a knock. She smiled, she quickly went to get it, she fixed herself up, she fixed her shirt more making it less noticeable that she was 3 months pregnant. She flung the door open.

"Captain, I'm so happy you made it!" she smiled. He smiled "Thank you Olivia, I brought wine." Liv took the bottle, "Thank you." She knew she wasn't drinking this anytime soon. "Follow me." Liv walked into the dining room. Eli and Elliot were already sitting at the table.

Cragen looked at Liv, he definitely knew what was going on. "Liv let's cut to the chase, you and Elliot are together." Liv's smile faded "H--how did you know?" "You don't usually invite me over, and when you do Elliot and Eli are together. I just put the pieces together. But I am happy for you two. It finally happened." They smiled

"There's one more thing." he looked at her "What is it?" "I'm pregnant, 3 months to be exact." He smiled "I'm so happy for you Liv! You are going to be a fantastic mother." He hugged her. She smiled "Thank you." They sat down and continued their dinner.

It was around 8 o'clock when Cragen left, Eli had climbed onto Liv's lap halfway through the dinner and fell asleep in her arms. She had quietly changed him into his pj's and tucked him in. "I love you mommy Livia." He mumbled into his sleep. Liv smiled "I love you too baby." she whispered and kissed his head.

She left the room, she went to what was now her and Elliot's room. She climbed into bed next to him and kissed him. She knew she had to tell him about the video. but she was exhausted. But she knew if she didn't tell him tonight he's be pissed that she didn't. She sighed, here goes "El."
