Chapter 12: Trouble

They had arrived at the precinct, everyone was already there, Liv had been uneasy about everything since they left the house. She was irritated and didn't want to be talk to. Elliot had tried talking to her and she answered with one word answers.

He sighed and just stopped trying. They got to the precinct and didn't do their little routine, before Elliot could say anything Liv was already on her way inside, today was going to be a long day.

Liv had made it up to her desk, the only person there was Nick, she sighed just what she needed to be alone with Nick, even after that dream. She felt sick, great morning sickness. She quickly got up before he could approach her, she went to the bathroom and sat by the toilet, she started to throw up.

She was just about finished when she felt a hand on her back. She quickly jumped, it was not Elliot, it wasn't his hand and she didn't sense that he was close. She quickly got up and looked at the person. "Nick, thanks but I don't need your help. After every bring you've already done I do not need you help, and i'm not breaking up with Elliot, I love him." She walked out and saw Elliot talking to someone.

It wasn't just someone it was a woman, blonde haired, of course it is she thought. The next thing pissed her off, he hugged her and she kissed his cheek, she went to her desk ignoring them, she caught a quick glance of the woman and it was Kathy. Liv pursed her lips and grabbed her purse, she was not staying here for this.

She walked into Cragen's office and asked for the rest of the day off, she used her pregnancy as an excuse. She grabbed her jacket and started putting it on when Elliot came in. "Liv, where are you going?" "Anywhere you aren't." she walked past him hitting shoulders with him. She didn't need this at all. If Elliot wanted to be with Kathy then he can.

"Liv, what did I do?" "Elliot I saw you and Kathy. Why didn't you just tell me that you and her were together. Why? Did you want to see my heart get broken? You know what forget it, no need to tell the squad to comeover this weekend. There's nothing to tell them about us. There is no us." She felt the tears build up, if she talked anymore she'd start to cry.

Liv had walked to the cribs, she sat on the bench quietly crying to herself, she didn't even let him explain. She wiped her tears then heard three gun shots go off. She quickly stood up with her gun and slowly walked out, she saw Elliot laying there, he had been shot. She felt the tears again, she looked around, Fin had been shot too.

She looked for the gun man. She saw him, she shot him in the leg and he dropped the gun. She quickly ran and kicked the gun away from him and cuffed him. Cragen came out of his office "A bus is on the way." Liv nodded and walked towards Elliot. She didn't even know when she started to cry, but she did.

She knelt beside him "El, oh god please be alive." he had been shot in the chest. She put pressure on the wound "El, please say something." He looked at her "I-I love you, o-only you." He started closing his eyes. Liv cried "I love you too, stay with me baby. Don't close your eyes, the baby and I need you. Please don't die." He closed his eyes, Liv broke down crying.

She lost him, but this time he wasn't coming back. The ambulance had arrived and Elliot was taken to the hospital, Liv had stayed in the same spot. As much as she wanted to leave she couldn't. She didn't want to face reality, where there was no Elliot. She slowly stood up, she started to feel dizzy and then she felt someone catch her before she blacked out.

Liv opened her eyes slowly, she heard the beeping of a machine. She sat up and looked around, she was in a hospital room. She used the button and called a nurse in. The nurse walked in "Hi Ms. Benson, how are you feeling?" the very cheerful nurse said. "I'm going fine, why am I in here?" "I'll get your doctor in here and he can tell you why." Liv nodded.

She sat there and 5 minutes later a doctor came in. "Hi i'm Dr. Aaron Smith." He smiled. Liv smiled, he was handsome. "Hi, can you tell me why i'm here?" "Well you passed out from high blood pressure. For now I need you to take it easy, and calm the stress level." Liv nodded "How's my baby?" "Your baby is perfectly fine. But just try to not be so stressed, its not good for the baby." Liv nodded once again.

Aaron smiled, he gave her a piece of paper with his number on it. "Would you mind going on a date with me?" Liv was shocked, she couldn't accept. Her and Elliot were still together right? "I'm sorry, but no. I'm in a relationship." Aaron nodded "Should have known that a pretty woman like yourself would have someone." Liv blushed. "Thank you, do you know what room Elliot Stabler is in?" "No I don't, but you can go ahead and ask the front desk." She smiled.

Aaron handed her a sonogram picture "We checked on the baby, and I thought you'd like some pictures." Liv held it and smiled "Thank you!" She walked to the front desk and asked for Elliot's room, she could admit she was excited to show Elliot the picture. She stopped in front of the room, Kathy was inside holding his hand.

He wasn't conscious, Liv felt anger and sadness. She should be in there where Kathy is. Elliot was her boyfriend, not Kathy's husband. Liv didn't care to go inside, she walked to a nurse and asked to give him the picture. She walked out, she didn't know what to do. She drove home, she laid in bed. Her body scrunched together. Everything in the house reminded her of Elliot.

Because this was their house. She quietly cried to herself. Today was not at all a good day, she laid in bed for hours. She needed to see Elliot, she didn't care what time it was. She needed to see him. She got back up and drove to the hospital. She walked in, she rode the 2 levels to get to his room. She walked to the room, and Elliot wasn't there. He was gone.
