It may seem as the whole thing with Taylor is moving fast, but it would be good to get to know each other in person than through texting. I just feel more comfortable doing it that way.
The only problem is, is I have to ask my mom. She doesn't even know that I've been talking to Taylor for a month now, so I'm not sure what she's gonna think about it.
I sighed before standing up from my bed and making my way down stairs. My mom sat on the couch watching 'The Bachelor' I don't understand why all older women like that show.
"Hey mom" I spoke sitting beside her. She looked up away from the TV and smiled at me. "Hey" She said.
"I have a very important question?" I say.
She raises a eyebrow at me and motions for me to continue.
"Ok first, you know that I really like Taylor and all. Well he messaged me a while back and we have been talking for a month. It turns out that we both like each other" I stop to see my moms reaction.
There was an surprised expression on her face. "Wait! When did this happen?" I turned my head towards Aaliyah who was at the bottom of the steps.
"Where are you getting at here Shawn?" My mom asked. "Well Taylor wants me to fly out to Indiana, so we can get to know each other in person more and stuff like that" I look at my mom nervously.
"How do you even know its actually Taylor?" Aaliyah said sitting down on the other couch. I rolled my eyes at her and looked back at my mom.
"I don't know Shawn, Aaliyah is right. What if it's some stranger who's acting like Taylor?" My mom said.
"Do I have to FaceTime him to prove it to y'all?" I asked looking at them. Aaliyah nodded and my mom just stayed silent.
"Ok then, let me text him" I say grabbing my phone out my back pocket and texted Taylor.
Shawn:
Hey, I know this may sound weird but in order to come to Indiana I have to prove to my sister and my mom your not some impersonator, so can we please FaceTime? 😋
"So if y'all see he's real, can I go?" I asked my mom. "Maybe" She said just as Taylor texted back.
Taylor:
Yea of course baby, just call me when you ready.
This is actually happening. Ok now I'm really nervous. "Ok he said yes. Do I look fine? Is there anything in my teeth? Do-" Aaliyah cut me off.
"Yes you look fine. Now FaceTime him!" She exclaimed. I nodded and clicked on Taylor's contact and clicked the FaceTime icon.
My heart is beating really fast. I am so nervous, this is the first time me and Taylor will be Facetiming.
The FaceTime started connecting, and Taylor's face popped up on the screen.
"Hey" I smiled at the camera, fuck he's hot. "Hey" Taylor smiled back. Aaliyah came into the camera and her eyes where wide.
"Hey, I remember her! I didn't know she was your sister" Taylor said. Aaliyah started freaking out behind me. "Yep that's my sister" I elbowed Aaliyah lightly making her calm down.
