"Casey." Finnick says stopping just as I'm going to turn the corner. "yes." I say turning to look into his sea green eyes. "We been on like 5 dates now and it's going great now so will you go out with me?" He says quickly "Yes!" I say as my cheeks turn pink from blushing. As we reach my house I kiss him on the cheek and walk inside. As soon as I'm inside I sink to the floor a huge smile on my face Finnick Odair asked me out sure we been on dates but now it's official I'm the girlfriend of one of the cutest boys in school!!
The Next Day
"Hey Jade." I say as I answer the door
"Hey Casey did you get your letter telling you if you going in the hunger games I'm not." Jade says "ya I'm not going in either." " good come one let's get to school." As we arrived we were called into a assembly to announce who was going in the hunger games even though we were given letters about it Mags saying it in front of everyone makes it seem real. We file inside the huge hall which instead of being full of weapons it had at least 100 rows of old chairs which look like they could break any moment. "Good morning everybody." Mags Says when we are all seated "As you know we are all in hear to announce which brave girl and boy will be entering the hunger games this year." I look over at Finnick his head is down and he looks like he is going to puke. "Well ladies first we decided that Lala Greenwood would be entering for her amazing use of daggers." Their was a big around of applause as Lala stepped onto the stage she had Hazel eyes which were red and puffy you could tell that she had been crying before she came. Her waist length golden hair was tied into plaits down her back. I suddenly felt a pang of guilt she only looked young maybe 13 at the most. She took a bow and then stood next to Mags. "Now the boy we feel should go in the hunger games is." She pauses for suppense but I just want it over so I can go home as sleep. "Finnick Odair for his perfect trident throwing and his hand to hand combat skills." Just as Finnick stands up and starts to move towards the stage FINNICK OMG." I manage to say before I faint.
