"GET UP FINNICK!" I jolt awake and look around and see Maple trying to stem the blood flow coming from From her leg. I watch in horror as maple try's stop the blood flowing like a stream wound. "It's no use Finnick the best thing we can do is keep her mind off the pain. Maple says in a whisper so Lala (who was now waking up laying in a pool of her own blood) couldn't hear.
Taking Maples advise a gingerly walk over to Lala while tears roll down her face because the pain. "Hey Finnick." She says in a whispered voice. "Hi Lala Can I ask you a question?" "Sure" She says slowly moving into a sitting position. "what was the best food in you opinion at the capitol?" I say to Lala. "The beef that was as thin as paper." She says wincing in pain "That was so good." "What about the best outfit chariots or interviews." Maple says sitting on the other side of her. "Interviews." Lala says her voice now a even quieter than a whisper. I watch as her breathing becomes fainter. I hold her hand as I stroke her hair. "Listen." She says faintly "Promise me one of you will win for me."
"promise." we say together and with that her head falls to the side and she becomes silent. "Goodbye." I then hear the cannon sound, tears slip down my cheek as the hovercraft appears I hold tighter to her hand not wanting the Capitol the people that killed her and destroyed everyone she loved hopes to take her.
Maple grabs me by the hand and leads me away from her so the hovercraft can take her. As it does the tears rolling down my cheeks increase I sit down like this for at least ten minutes until Maple gives me some food. Just as I finish my food still crying a ear splitting scream pierces the silence. "That's Hero we can't leave her." I say jumping up grabbing my trident and running towards the sound. "I can't just let her die knowing I could have helped her!"
Hero is on the ground being pulled apart by what look like monkeys. I pull 2 of the monkeys and stab them. I then squeeze the monkeys nose so it will let go of Heros arm (which it is biting) when it does I stab it with my trident. Throwing the monkey aside I crouch down next to Hero. She holds out her hand and I take it. "So Finnick haven't seem you in a while." She laughs even though there's nothing funny about the situation. "Thanks." She says before she takes her last breath and her hands drop to the ground. "Good bye." I say before the hovercraft lifts her into the sky.
"Finnick I think it's time to go our separate ways I have halved the supplies." She then throws me a pack and the spears. "Bye Finnick good luck." And with that she goes off. "Bye." I say but instead of walking the opposite way I wait for her to walk ahead and set of the same way as her. Even though she wants us to go our separate ways I won't because her life will be even more at risk on her own. And then a cannon goes off. I guess I'll find out who that is later.
