"Lets set up camp." I say while trying to comfort Pepper who was sobbing uncontrollably into my shoulder. We gather up all of the supplise and set up camp on an island in the middle of the water by the waterfall so we could have a endless supply of water. In one tent we put all of supplies and the 4 others were for us to sleep in. As it gets dark I hand out the sleeping bags (we have just enough for everyone one.) I climb into one of the tents and settle down in the sleeping bag. "Wake me up when you want to go to sleep." I shout too Pepper because she decieded to take watch first (I can tell that she wanted to mourn Spuds death in private) I drift into an uneasy sleep. Techa runs towards me holding a gun her eyes inraged she then shrinks into a small puppy that grows into a wolf within a few seconds and attacks he. "Finnick could we swap now im tired." I open my eyes and see Peppers choclate brown eyes are inches from mine. "Ok but id sleep in one of the girls tents if I were you not in this one Slate snores." Pepper laughs as we leave the tent and I take seat out side wrapped in my sleeping bag my many spears ready in my hands while Pepper climbs into the tent which Lala is sleeping in and I see the tent door close.
I look out over the cool waters listening to the water fall in the back ground. I take a drink of water from the supples and gulp down half of its been a buzy day and I havent drunk. I missed the tributes being shone in the sky because I was asleep but I know that Atom, Cooper, Lacey, Rye, Mink, Angus, Spud and Ash will have been shone up there smiling down on us even though none of them will smile again and its my flault for some of their deaths. God their parents must hate me. The stupid kid from district four that ruined their lifes.
As the sun rises the cannon makes me jump I look up just in time to see a body of what looks like a girl go up into the sky. "I guess we will find out who that was tonight." Says a sleeply looking Hero climbing out of the tent followed by Glitter. "Ill wake up the others." I say as the two girls have a wash in the lake. "Wake up you two." I say as I open the tent with Lala and Pepper in they both sit up and start getting up. "I'm just gunna wake up the boys." I say as I leave the girls tent "wake up sleepy head." I say as I shake them awake. "Ok we are getting up now." Slate says pushing me away. Once I'm out of the tent I wash my hands and face and grab a pack of dried fruit a cracker and some water.
"Look smoke!" Lala says as she is eating a beef strip. "Ok who's going to go." Say Marble looking around. "How about me Lala and maple." I say picking at random. "Ok then." Says Maple she picks up three axes and begins heading across the bridge I made last night. Closely followed by Lala holding a huge array of knifes and me holding a spear. When we arrive we see its Techa and Flax huddling together to keeph warm by a fire. When they see us they get up to run bit it's too late. Before they can move too steps Maple has killed Flax and Lala has killed Techa. However before we leave we put them together as you could tell they were in love.
"It was the right thing to do." Lala says as we watch the bodies being pulled up by the hovercraft. "I think it was too!" Maple says as we reach the camp I can tell things are not right. Quickly over here!" Glitter shouts as we approach. "They attacked us Mazie Spark and Nelly we were asleep we didn't think they would attack us at night never mind day!" "What did they take?" I ask running up to them "A few days worth of food and a knife each but that's not the worst bit" She points to an unconscious Marble a bandage wrapped around his eye and arm but the blood was seeping through. "Where are the others?" I ask while examining Marble. "They went after them." Glitter says "Listen." I say in a quite voice "Marbles injurys are futile he can't be saved I'm so sorry Glitter." And with that she broke sobbing down on the floor. The careers are not doing as well this year I think.
