I wake up I search around in semi darkness for my hot water bottle even though it lost its heat hours before I hug it tight its the day of the reaping the day I lose Finnick. Not caring about the time of day I get dressed into my best clothes (Because even if I'm not going into the hunger games I have to look my best) I eat some bread that Amber delivered last night it was still warm in the middle so I eat more than I should so I can have the warm part. However just before I can set of for Finnicks house I hear a knock at the door. I open the door and Finnicks stood there his golden hair styled perfectly and his green eyes red and puffy as if he has been crying but I pretend not to notice. I let him in without a word and we sit hand in hand on the sofa in the corner of the living room. After about ten minutes it's me that decides to speak. "Please don't volunteer someone else can go for you don't leave me!" I say the word choked with tears. "You know what happened to Ben Summers he didn't volunteer and he was publicly executed I don't want that to happen to me and anyway I have a chance of winning I'll see you later Casey." And with that he hugs me grabs his coat and leaves. I sink to the ground uncontrollable tears pouring down my face I have lost him. After about ten minutes of sitting their sobbing my heart out I grab my coat and kill some time down by the lake where just under a month ago Finnick saved a girl from drowning.

I walk over to the peace keepers they take my name and then a small amount if blood by pricking my finger with something that looks like a pin or needle. Slowly I make my way over to the other 14 year old girls near the back in the distance I see Finnicks mother sobbing into his fathers arms their as heart broken like mine however bit it's worse for them there losing their son.
Once everyone is in Theta Whishart a crazy looking Capitol woman with sea green dyed skin and a huge bright blue wig. I guess she was those colours to match our district. Stands and introduces the mayor once he has told us the story if the districts rebelling and 13 being bombed. Theta begins "well ladies first I suppose we should find out the tributes ladies first." She pulls out a slip of paper and reads "Theodora Cart." However just as planned Lala shouts I volunteer and begins to make her way up to the stage. I look over at Finnick his bronze skin has turn White with fear realising that in a few moments it will be his turn. "Whats your name." Theta says to Lala as she reaches the stage "Lala Greenwood." She say trembling "Well then I Think it's time for the boys." Once again she pulls out a slip of paper but just from a different ball "Luke Stevens." A 12 year old boy stands up and as he does Finnick shouts I volunteer and makes his way up to the stage. Lala and Finnick shake hands and are whisked away by peace keepers.
