By nightfall Marble was so pale from the loss of blood. He clutched on to Glitters hand and only let go when he died. The cannon sounded and Glitter had to let the hover craft take him up into the sky and take him home. It was only the second night but so many people had died. Today Flax and Techa and it turns out the girl that this morning was Apollo and of corse Marble.
As we all settle down for some food (Apples dried beef and crackers) it starts to rain. But this isn't normal rain wherever it touches it leaves a big burn mark. We clamber into the tents for safety but Jack doesn't he jumps into the water. Thinking he is safe shouts out to us but we all stay. After about 2 minutes the water is steaming because it's that hot and Jack is starting to drown. 3 times we try and throw him a rope but he can't grab it. The last thing we see of him is his blister red skin and burns as he is pulled up into the hovercraft. Just then the rain stops as quickly as it started. Maple touches the ground and declares it safe to walk on so we step out. I check the water and see that it's back to normal.
"You stupid idiot your the reason that Marble died and now Jack." I look around and see Glitter threatening Lala I jump up to stop them it's too late glitter slices Lala leg and pushes her in the water. I dive in and search in the water steadily growing redder with Lalas blood I grab her and pull her on to shore. "WHAT THE HELL GLITTER" I reach the opposite shore were glitter is stood and pick her up throwing her in the water because I know she can't swim. I then push Slate out of the way grab days worth of food loads of medicine and bandages and all of the spears. I then pick Lala up and walk away. I turn around to see Maple running towards me holding a backpack and 3 Axes. "I'm coming with you Finnick." She says catching up to me.
By the time it's night we find a cave near a stream and decide to set up here for the night. "I'll take first watch." I say sitting at the cave entrance. "I'll change Lala's bandages and give her some more medicine." Maple says taking some bandages from her pack. Once they have settled down to sleep. The anthem plays and Jacks face shines in the sky. He was the only death today, the Capitol will probably be getting bored.
