Basketball game

*Rachael's pov*

Tonight was going to be the most competitive game of the season for Manzano. The girls' basketball team was going to be playing Sandia. Which meant that Harry, Maya, Kirsten Liam, Miriam, and Louis would be there. Niall and I were the basketball managers.

It was now 6:30,which meant it was game time. Both Sandia's and Manzano's basketball team was in the zone. Both sides of the crowd was going crazy. We were three minutes into the game when Manzano scored their first point by Natalie Li. Manzano went wild while Sandia sighed with disappointment. Sandia then scored with a girl who's number was 21.

*Kirsten's pov*

I was relieved when Sandia scored. The person who scored was number 21. Her name was Larissa Martin. The clock suddenly froze and a loud buzzer sounded throughout the room. It was the end of the 1st quarter. The girls on both sides raced to their specific sides to get water.

Each coach told them what positions they would be playing. In just a few minutes, both teams were back on the court. As usual, the ball started in the middle of the court. Sandia was the first one to get the ball . The girl that got it was named Kelsey. She made great passes to the other players. Number 17 made another shot. Sandia was now ahead one point. The buzzer for halftime startled me so much that I jumped.

*Catherine's pov*

Halftime had just started. Halftime meant that all the players would be taking a longer break. The younger siblings always got to shoot baskets and play around until halftime was over. Halftime lasted five minutes. As each team made their way back to the court am upbeat song for each team. Our team's theme song was "radioactive" by imagine dragons. Sandia's theme song however, was "that power" by Will I am and Justin Bieber. Halftime was over.

*Miriam's pov*

As soon as halftime was over Manzano got the ball. The player number 28 shot the ball and scored a point. That point put Manzano in a tie with us. The two teams literally fought over the ball. The ball swung in to the ball on our side. Manzano was winning by so many points. I was surprised when Sandia was scoring again and again. The score was now 34-30. The third quarter had just ended.

*Maya's pov*

As soon as the last quarter of the game was starting,Sandia scored. Then Manzano again. At the end of the fourth quarter the score was tied 46-46. Since the game was tied, it was set to go into four minutes overtime.

Overtime quickly started. It was a basketball battle between the two teams. Swoosh, swoosh, swoosh. The ball went into the basket. As the four minutes were coming to an end, Manzano scored. The score was 50-49. Manzano was victorious because of their win.
