*Rachael's pov*

Niall had told me that everyone hadn't visited me. He looked sullen when the doctor asked him to wait in the waiting room until he saw the doctor taking me out to the scan room.

The doctor helped me walk because I hadn't walked in such a long time. When I strolled into the waiting room the people in there gave me many sympathetic looks. Niall's eyes softly glowed with a tinge of happiness. He followed Dr. Riparian and I into the scanning room. He politely told me "follow me in here and Niall you wait out here."

"Ok." We replied in unison.

*Niall's pov*

As I watched Rachael hesitantly get on the platform,I was anxious for her. What would the results be? Would I be forced to accept that I might lose the love of my life.

I heard the doctor say something to Rachael. I watched her eyelids close and I watched the red light scan her. She seemed so calm, so peaceful. If she was nervous she sure wasn't showing it.

I breathed a sigh of relief when the platform was in its original position and Rachael opened her eyes.

*Rachael's pov*

When I stepped outside of the room and into where Niall was. The cool breeze of the air conditioner hit my legs. I felt goosebumps rising on them. I suddenly shivered. When Niall saw me he asked "Are you ok?"

"Yeah just cold."

"Ok. Are you even nervous about what the results of the scan are?"

"Of course. Why?"

"Oh. It's just you don't seem that nervous."

"We'll I am." The doctor interrupted us by muttered "I'll be right back."

"Alright." He shut the door and left us in awkward silence. "Love?"

"Yeah?"

"I-I- I'm nervous."

"Why?"

"What if you have a life threatening disease."

"I don't think it's that bad."

"Yeah but how can you know."

"I just don't feel like I'm dying Niall."

"How do you know?"

"I just know. The worst it could be is a major surgery."

"Are you sure about that Rachael?"

"Yes."

"I-it's just I don't want to lose you."

"I know you don't. And you won't I promise."

"Are you sure."

"Yes I promise."

"I just love you so much."

"I love you too." Just then the doctor came in.
