Flu

*Catherine's pov*

When we got to the hospital Miriam was just about to be discharged. We visited for a bit then walked outside. Just as Louis and Miriam began to pull out. My stomach tightened with sickness. "Zayn."

"Yeah?"

"I-I don't feel so great."

"Ok. Let's go back up."

"Alright."

*Zayn's pov*

It was weird even before she mentioned that she didn't feel so good I knew something was wrong. Plus, she had been sick the last couple days. Maybe seeing a doctor would help.

*Catherine's pov*

When we were almost to the doors of the hospital I whispered to Zayn, "I hate hospitals."

"Why?"

"They're scary and gross."

"Don't worry about it."

"How can I not? People have died in here."

"I know. But just hold my hand if you get scared."

"Ok." We quickly checked in and sat down . I knew that this was going to take a long time.

*Zayn's pov*

After waiting for an hour, a woman who looked in her mid thirty's. "Catherine."

"Yeah I'm right here." Catherine replied.

"Come back with me."

"Alright." I began to follow Catherine and the doctor back. The doctor stopped me and said "are you her boyfriend?"

"Yeah."

"Oh cuz if you weren't you couldn't come in."

"I figured so." She led us into a huge room with an uncomfortable looking bed. I could tell that she was nervous. A few minutes later the doctor came back in with a nurse.

*Catherine's pov*

When the doctor came back in with the nurse, she held a thermometer in her hand. When she got close to me, she said "say ahh"

"Ahh." I opened my mouth. Right when the thermometer touched my tongue it beeped. The doctor told me that I had a fever. "Hun I think that you have the flu."

"I do?"

"You do. A serious case. You're going to have to stay overnight.

*Zayn's pov*

When the doctor told us that Catherine would have to stay here overnight, I sucked in my breath. The doctor told me that I would have to bring her her stuff. I was going to miss her tonight. Hopefully she wasn't too sick so she could come home tomorrow.
