Naruto

It was autumn.

The season cast an orange haze above the horizon, lighting up the sky as if lit by fire, yet the haze was so crisp and clear.

The sun, like a large grandeur orange fireball in the distance was partially cloaked by the hanging clouds, which were all splashed with the random colors of hot pink, red, and even some blue and purple. The sun was so large that I felt I could just reach over and clasp it in my hands.

The sun was as orange as the sky, like a ghost almost. It was silent ball of wonderment that was really a raging ball of Hellish fury.

To me, it was like a bolt of lightning. It was a raging ball of fury, yet so fascinating and wonderful. It would disappear too soon, the image of its fiery and illuminative self popping up every time you close your eyes.

I see why she loved watching the sun so much.

The seagulls gawking around it somehow made it better to experience. The sound of the waves splashing upon the shore, the smell of the ocean and the suns humble glow just seemed to make the sunset beautiful, and so enthralling.

I felt the corners of my lips twitch upwards when I felt her plop down right next to me.

I rotated my head so that I was facing her, the smile on my face from before widening when my beautiful wife looked at me with the most loving eyes.

I brought my arm around her shoulders, and as soon as I was close enough, I placed a long kiss on her forehead, when I finally released my lips I felt her head lean against mine.

My smile soon transformed into a grin when I spotted the newborn in her arms, although he was fast asleep.

He's the splitting image of me, I thought when I saw the whiskers on his cheeks, as well as the blonde, spiky hair.

The woman sitting peacefully beside me, and the baby she was cradling in her arms.

My family.

"I brought dinner," I heard the smile in her gentle voice, "Eat up, Naruto."

Carefully, without moving too much, she brought the food to me.

It was covered in aluminum foil, "Thanks, Hinata."

Unwillingly, I removed the arm I had around her and my child to open the foil, only to reveal...

"A burrito?" I said, making my voice sound as if I was amused as much as possible.

Which I was.

"Don't be picky, Naruto. There's nothing wrong with burritos." She leaned her head against my shoulder this time.

I chuckled, "I was actually craving one of these, thank you."

After a moment of silence, I was halfway done with my burrito when Hinata spoke up.

"I still can't believe they allowed us to leave without naming the baby," she laughed lightly as she leaned off of me.

I laughed along with her, remembering the events.

"We couldn't even come up with a name." I reminded her.
