I was dead.

Well I mean not literally.

But the way I was lying on my bed made me look like it.

And the way Kiba was poking me with a stick didn't help.

"Cut it out." I mumbled and he stopped.

"Then stop looking like a dead person, well I mean you always do, but today you look like a skull." He said, poking me with his finger this time.

"Don't tell me what to do." I groaned, ignoring his other statement.

He was silent after a while, and then Shino spoke up.

"Get up."

"Says the one who sleeps in till 4."

"It's 3, actually."

I turned my head around and looked at him shrugging.

But seriously, I wasn't in the mood.

My father had come back, I should be happy. I was, at least, for a while before he brought up the Knight job.

Hehe, get it? Knight job? Never mind...

And I am not going to do it. Just, no.

Why couldn't he get that?

But I couldn't avoid it...could I?

But then what could I do?

You could run away.

Right. Like that'd be a great idea.

I mean my mother ran away, and ー

...she became successful.

It was true. She started a business, far away from the Star Village. Turns out, she wasn't a fan of my fathers duties either.

But running away from the Star Village...

Where would I go?

It didn't matter. Anywhere is better than here.

"You're running away?" Shino said, in a rather low voice as he sat on the edge of my bed.

I had thought aloud again.

I sighed as I sat up straight.

"Yeah I guess..." I said I as I rubbed my aching head.

"Isn't that a bit childish?" Kiba asked, raising one of his eyebrows.

"I don't care. I don't want my future planned for me." I huffed.

He looked at me for a while, and then sighed.

"I wanted to become a Red, but whatever." He said as he fall backwards onto my bed.

"What are you talking about?" I raised my voice as I stretched my arms.

"We are going with you." Shino said casually.

"What? No!" I got up dramatically.

They are not going to ruin their lives because of me!

"Hina," Kiba sprung of the bed suddenly, "we've known you since we were in diapers. I'm not just going to let it end like this, so s-t-f-u and tell us the plan." He grinned, showing off his canine yet perfect white teeth.

I looked at Shino and he shrugged.

"Got nothing better to do."

Typical Shino.
