cough syrup; young the giant~
"What?" Calum said not really sure what to say or think.
"You're the soccer mom" he repeated with the same old smirk he had before. Calum frowned his eyebrows more and more, to say the least he was confused.
"I'm not a soccer mom! I am a man" he retorted like a child crossing his arms in protest "Why do you even say that?" he asked.
Luke chuckled at the tan maned expression and body language "Because when you were scolding my brother-in-law you sounded like a soccer mom, well at least the way he said things went down" he clarified laughing at how weird and absurd the whole situation sounded.
"Well I will appreciate if you no longer called me a 'mom', please and thank you" He said in his lawyer firm voice as he sat down and looked for Luke's paperworks. Luke in the other hand was very very intrigued by the handsome man that was sitting in front of him at this moment. He looked at him closely and saw how his eyebrows would frown and how his lips would turn into fine line despite them being so plum and full.
"So about your case... Luke you're in quite a mess" He sighed making Luke jump in realization that he was staring more that he intended to.
"Uh— Um yes? I-i actually don't know what I'm being sued for" He said and gave Calum a shy smile as he stared at him blankly "I told my brother to not tell me until I had a lawyer so..." Luke said his voice turning smaller and smaller each time since Calum's gaze was quite intimidating and Luke thought that Calum was looking at him in a scolding manner but in reality thats just his face.
"Okay, seems reasonable" he said nonchalant "This young lady June Smalls is suing you for emotional distress, do you know this subject?" Calum asked putting and taking Luke's papers in order.
"Uh, yeah she—she comes to all of my parties, but what did i do though?" he asked more confused than before.
"Well it says here that you locked her in a closet knowing she was claustrophobic and that caused her severe trauma and she also wants $5,000 for the cost of all of her treatments and medications" Calum said reading the lawsuit and fiddling with his pen as he looked at a very mad Luke.
"What?! I will not give her $5,000!" Luke said in a angry outraged voice making Calum almost flinch.
"Luke we can focus about the money later, all I want to know is if this actually happened" Calum said calmly and rested his head in his hands looking at Luke waiting for his answer.
"No! I refuse to hand her 5,000 bucks! Please tell me you will not let her get away with this!" Luke kept whisper yelling.
"Luke I want you to forget the freaking money and answer the simple question! Did you or did you not commit this act?" Calum raised bis voice now being firm and rough no longer letting Luke speak freely. Luke felt himself gulp and burry himself deeper into the seat.
"Luke... yes or no? I can't help you out if you don't tell me the truth, Lukey" he said standing up sighing and sitting next to him looking to his baby blue eyes an Calum noticed how pretty they were.
Luke looked down at his lap blushing at the sudden nickname and proximity they were in.
"I-I didn't know s-she was claustrophobic and she was high on acid so I think that's also a reason, not my fault entirely" Luke said still not looking into Calum's deep brown eyes.
He sighed and stood up "Well it's almost 3 and I need to be in court, I'll call you to plan our defense statement and I'll ask for June's toxicology test and see if she was under the influence of something and that could be our hook" Calum said gathering papers and putting them neatly into the inside of the briefcase.
"Thanks for taking my case" Luke said standing up also.
"No need" He smiled and Luke liked how he smiled.
"No really thanks" he said. smirking at his next words "Mom".
