It was 7:45 and Calum was freaking out. Any minute Luke would knock on that door any minute now and he didn't even have his hair ready.

He spent too much time on his clothes to remember that his hair was absolutely in knots and a mess. He dressed casual since they were only going to the drive-in but he still was worried that he didn't look 'nice' enough.

He wore black skinnies and a DropDead long sleeve shirt and his hightop vans. He rolled his sleeves a bit making his tattoos come to display. He was still wondering what the fuck to do with his unruly hair. He could not let Luke see his hair like that. He didn't know why he was being all high maintenance about his hair but he was and totally losing it.

"Cal! I'm here!" His mom yelled and he heard Lily's footsteps run down the stairs and yell 'Grandma' and 'I missed yous'. He smiled fondly and went to greet his mother.

"Hey, mom" He said casually bringing her into a tight hug and kissing her cheek and forehead.

"Hi, Cally, I see you're almost ready" Joy said wiggling her eyebrows as he blushed and rolled his eyes playfully.

"Not quite, My hair is mess and in knots and I don't know what to do and to be honest I'm losing it mom" Calum told her rambling as Lily laughed at her fathers nervousness.

"Dad, do what I do" Lily said grabbing Calum's huge hands into her small delicate ones.

"And what is it that you do, Lilypad?" He said chuckling at his small girl, that seemed to have everything under control.

"When my hair is extra curly and you can't braid it, I wear a hat" she said nonchalant as Calum just smiled.

"What hat should I wear, princess?" He said as she dragged him up the stairs and into his room.

"You can wear..." Lily said rummaging in Calum's drawers "This one" She said giving him a snapback that he hasn't seen in ages "Or one of these" Lily showed his a variety of beanies and Calum has been saved by his 7 year old daughter.

"Lily! You are a lifesaver!" He said exaggerating a gasp and hugging her and kissing her chubby cheeks as she giggled and muttered a "So I have been told"

Calum placed the olive colored beanie neatly putting in place his unruly curls and taming them down. He smiled ad he looked at himself and thanked Lily one more time.

He looked at his phone and saw several messages from Luke.

He smiled and locked his phone. He looked at the time and saw it was 7:58.

As he explained to his mom about Lily's sleeping curfew (which being honest he didn't know why he was explaining this since she already knows) and to nkt give her anymore candy, he heard a knock on his door, and him knowing it was Luke.

He opened the door and revealed a tall, broad shouldered, white as milk Luke. He was wearing is usual jeans and jeans and a grey shirt. He looked so nice.
