LA Devotee; Panic! At The Disco

~

"Dad I don't want to wear that!" Lily whined as Calum tried to place the headband onto her messy curls he tried to settle with Coconut Oil.

"Please, Lilypad, It's just for today" he signed in defeat "Just for today, okay?"

"Do you pinky promise?" Lily said turning around wearing her puppy dog eyes and her small pinky up in the air.

"I promise" Calum said smiling fondly.

Once he finished doing Lily's hair he started to get ready himself. Today him, Lily, and Luke were attending to his mother annual neighborhood picnic. Him and Lily attended every year, and he always had fun and now with Luke added into the mix it will be even better.

He really liked Luke's company. For him its been a long time since he has had someone to share his time with or just go to lunch with in general.

So just the thought of Luke going to this huge event in his life, that he only shared with Camellia. He didn't knoe why it was so special to him, but it was.

He got all dressed up and called Luke and told him that he was ready and on his way to pick him up.

Now Calum has never been to Luke's pent house. He knew it was one of the most expensive apartments in the whole city, since it was in a nice part of town and the view was to die for. Calum being himself, he was dying to seethe view, he has seen pictures of online because people reslly loved it and he wanted to experience it in person.

Lily was strapped on and buckled up in her little blue booster seat. Once she got settled and saw Calum start the engine of his van she immediately asked for a song.

"What's the poison, Lil?" he asked as she grinned and giggled.

"Hm, it's quite recent..." she said.

"Recent? like a new song?" Calum wondered out loud as she nodded excitement evident in her expression.

"Well, its not really new but to me it is!"

"Ok, please elaborate on this song" He joked putting his lawyer voice.

"It has a lot of like, opera singing and it has like a lot of rhythms at the same time" she explained.

"Lily... these requests get harder and harder every time" he chuckled "Do you remember the melody?"

"Oh yes, it goes a bit like this" Lily started to hum the melody of her request, and Calum already knew the song. Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen.

"I already know, Lilypad" he said fishing out for his phone and connecting to his aux cord.

"Really?! what's it called?"

"Bohemian Rhapsody by the one and only Queen" Calum said imitating a show host and his silliness made Lily go in a fit of giggles and made him smile and his eyes crinkle.

Once he searched up the song in his long playlist of hits, he played it and the sweet harmonies of Fredy Mercury traveling in the car as Calum mouthed the words and Lily just stayed quite probably listening carefully to what he was singing about.

The song ended and the car speakers kept playing Calum's playlist that currently was playing some Panic! at the Disco.

"Where did you hear that song, Lil?" he asked because he personally has never played Queen to her and if he did he would have remembered.

"Remember when I stayed at Danielle's house?"

"Yeah?" Calum said suspiciously and lifted a eyebrow.
