After spending time with both Niall and Louis, Lincoln had began to like being in their presence. They were both so funny and made her laugh countless of times. They stayed at the diner until her shift had ended and even offered to take her to Parker's school and home. She had declined the offer, but once again they were pretty persistent. Lincoln's compromise was that she allows them to drive her to the school, but she would take the bus home, much to Niall's complaint. He felt it was unsafe for her to be taking the public bus alone with a young kid. Lincoln's response to that was that she had been doing it for four years now and she was perfectly fine.
"Mommy where are we going?" Parker asked as Lincoln combed through his curls. Lincoln finished and tied his shoes properly.
"To a concert," She tells him, applying lotion to his small hands. Parker shrugged not knowing what a concert was, he only hoped that it was fun. "Sit on the couch while mommy gets dressed." Parker nods, climbing onto the couch. Lincoln kissed his head and put on a Disney movie for him. She looked at the time and quickly went to get dressed. "What do people wear to a concert?" Lincoln wondered as she looked at her clothes. Lincoln decided on a black blouse with some leggings and her brown leather boots. She paired her outfit with a turquoise necklace and matching earrings. Lincoln looked at herself in the mirror, she never really wore makeup so she just put on some eyeliner and red lipstick.
"Time to tame this hot mess," Lincoln took her hair out of the tight bun she had it in. She grabbed her comb and combed through all the tangles. She then plugged in her hair straighter and began to straighten her kinky hair after applying a generous amount of heat protectant. It took her 40 minutes to straighten her entire head. Lincoln ran her hand through the finished product. "Not bad," She smiles unplugging the hair tool. Lincoln cleaned the counter top and walked into the living room to wait with Parker. She went onto her phone, scrolling through a few of the apps she had on there. Her phone was so old and outdated, she needed a new one badly. Just as she said this, an incoming call came onto her phone.
"Hello?" Lincoln picked it up, sitting up on the couch. Parker stopped watching the movie to glance at his mom.
"Hey, It's Niall, I'm outside." He tells her. Lincoln gets up getting her purse and handing Parker his jacket.
"Okay, I'll be down in a minute." Lincoln helped Parker into his jacket and grabbed hers along with her purse before heading out the apartment.
"Who is that?" Parker pointed to Niall who was leaning on the car, waiting for them. Niall smiles meeting them half way.
"Hey, you must be Parker, I heard a lot about you. I'm Niall."
"Hey you have an accent! Mom do you hear his voice?!" Parker exclaims. He had a weird obsessions with accents. "What kind of accent is that?" Parker questions.
Niall laughs looking at Lincoln before leading them to the car. " I'm Irish, if you like my accent you're going to love my friend's accents as well. They're British." Niall tells him opening the door for Lincoln and Parker. Once they were all seated and buckled up, Parker started firing more questions.
"Where's British?" Parker tilts his head. Niall pulls out of the parking spot and onto the road.
"British is what they are, but they are from England and I'm from Ireland." Niall explains to him. Parker nods now turning his attention to the inside of the car.
"Wow is this your car?" He asks looking at Niall.
"Sorry he asks so much questions," Lincoln apologizes, but Niall shakes his head. He wasn't bothered by it at all. He was happy to answer Parker's questions.
"Yes this is my car," Niall smiles glancing at Parker through his mirrors.
"How did you pay for it?" Parker wonders, because his mom didn't have a car and she worked a ton, so how did Niall get a car. "Are boys only allowed to have cars?"
Niall laughed shaking his head, "He's adorable," Niall tells Lincoln. "No, I make a lot of money in my job so can afford this car."
"What kind of job do you have?" Parker asked looking out the window.
"I'm a singer."
"Hey mom, maybe you should be a singer too, then you can have a car too." Parker said innocently. He didn't see anything wrong with what he was saying, but it made Lincoln feel a bit bad that she couldn't even buy a car.
"What do you want to be when you're older?" Niall asks Parker. Parker thought about what his answer would be.
"A singer, that way I can buy my mommy a car and a house!" Parker smiles, happy with his decision. Lincoln smiled softly hearing him say that.
"He's a good kid." Niall tells her, Lincoln nods her head in agreement.
"Yeah he is."
